This world is completely out of control.

I've always been told that when it comes to end times you'll actually want the end. I'm getting close. I know this happens but to get online and brag about it is sick and then to claim the victim once you get ratioed is sicker.

The narcissism of social media and influencer culture is a festering and gaping wound in society and needs to be cut out like the cancer it is.

I have worked with special needs children for many years, and while I do not agree with their decision I can at the very least understand it unlike the >95% of abortions that are purely elective.

That being said, >70% of down syndrome children are aborted in America. You're not going to fix this without solving the genetic mutations themselves, or providing high quality standard of care for these children once they are conceived.

sorry. but i'm calling BS on this one.

The kids with genetic mutations aren't the problems. They've been around since the beginning of time. Using a prehistoric and heathen mentality of taking them out of the field and leaving them for death was evil then and it's even more evil now. They're beautifully perfect children of God.

The problem is the quality of human being who would murder a child because it's not perfect in their eyes. We don't have a genetics problem, we have lack of humanity problem

As a father of a child with Down Syndrome, this angers me and I find it abhorrent. However, I pray they'll understand what they've done, and they repent and turn to God. And may others educate themselves, in this same situation before ending a pregnancy. My wife helps expectant mothers or parents network and find people/resources after diagnoses. We have our own little village, and I wouldn't change the joy we have with our son and his friends.

Murdering your baby the first few months only involves ripping it's limbs off with the vacuum. At 5 months, those people required a pair of forceps to crush the skull to then rip the limbs and get it out.

But progressives and liberals call this "health care" now.

My point being is that a large segment of the population is going to participate in this. The compassionate thing is to cure the issue, prevent it from ever happening in the first place, or to provide high quality care for the children to the extent that at the very least disabled children's abortion rate matches that of the wider population until we can solve abortion as a whole. As much us I do not like that it is the case that it is widely available with likely no widespread legal end in sight, it will continue happening and the most productive thing is to make it as easy as possible to convince people to not do it.

My story is pretty well documented on here and the premium board. This story makes my blood boil worse than anything I've ever seen posted here.

For those that don't know, in January of 2022 my wife went into labor with our first boy (we have a nearly 8 year old daughter). We were so excited and the birth was so much easier than the first. John was born about 10:30 and taken back to let mom sleep. At 6 the next morning the on call pediatrician tells us "I've seen concerning signs, your son probably has Down syndrome". My jaw hits the floor, my wife starts crying and calls her mom immediately, and the pediatrician walks out without even discussing anything about the surprise diagnosis.

5 minutes later I go into accountant mode of "we've got something not adding up to what we expected, what can we do". Within 2 hours I've found about 10 contacts (and probably about 100 after I posted to TexAgs an hour later). I found out about a school on TCUs campus that's a preschool for kids with Down syndrome that gives them every therapy possible each week and got on the waiting list when he was 16 hours old (he's been a student for 3 years now and is thriving and we are blessed he's been a Kinderfrogs).

People, like most in eastern Europe and Iceland that flaunt eradicating Down syndrome (through abortion), are what I fight against daily. Through foundations we are a part of we've seen dozens of lives saved through communication with parents living it and events allowing expected mothers with a prenatal diagnosis spending time with people like and including John.

Abortion is sin for any reasoning but this one has me fired up and spicy tonight.

My daughter is 13 and has DS. It saddens me that this individual (and many who choose the same path) will never know the joy I have known since her birth. Are things hard for her and us? Absolutely, but it is 100% worth everything to see her do the things she does.

You have to understand, though, that the people that do these "family" YouTube channels are often malignant narcissists and/or sociopaths. You kind of have to be to become successful.

I watched a docu-series last night called "an update about our family" about a woman who is a perfect example. She and her husband ended up adopting a kid from China that turned out to have autism and adhd, blasted him all over the internet for 2.5 years almost daily, and suddenly he never showed up again, and she went back to just posting cleaning videos.

You'll have to watch it to find out what happened, but it takes a real piece of **** in the first place to do something like that. And similar to the post above with their crocodile tears and apology, pretending to be a victim, lack of self-awareness is a requirement as well.

I don't know if you like Shane Gillis, but he has some comedy about how Downs runs in his family, and how his family member with it is probably the happiest person he knows.

I've always thought that if the world was full of people with down syndrome it would be a much happier place. I've never been around these kids and not felt absolute unconditional love and joy.

Our daughter was born normal, but my blood test and her fetal 18-week measurements indicated a somewhat strong risk for Down Syndrome.

I refused the amniocentesis to confirm because there was some % risk of fetal death. I could not imagine risking my baby's death just to know in advance if she had DS. I mentally prepared myself for either outcome. Deciding to kill your baby for this is just the saddest thing I can imagine.

In this 1500s Renaissance painting "Adoration of Christ" the artist clearly included angels depicting Down Syndrome facial features. It is a beautiful reminder that we all have a divinity and dignity endowed by God in our soul, regardless of our life circumstance. I have found in my practice that many of the families with Down Syndrome patients happily chose self sacrifice for the support those children and in turn are blessed with the unconditional and unwavering love those children provide. As such, there lives and families become incredibly blessed.

We unfortunately live in a society where many fail to recognize that the greatest love is "Agape" love, the love of self sacrifice most perfectly demonstrated for us by Christs' sacrifice on the Cross. Many have exchanged that for the love of self, "Eros" love. Those same individuals than often wonder why their lives seem so devoid of purpose and meaning.

Diabolical narcissists.

Our youngest daughter has DS. Amazing kid. Has changed our whole family for the better and I can't imagine life without her in our family. I try not to judge people because most are just so vapidly stupid that I honestly think they're just unaware of how wicked and vile they are. That's the case here.

Posting a smiley face because just thinking about seeing her tomorrow (I've been traveling for work all week) makes me not even murderously angry at these people like I expected to be. I more feel sad for them. They are missing out. I feel every day that I truly don't deserve to have our little girl.

We lost our 7 week old daughter to SIDS in 2016, and we did have genetic testing done early on for our next to test for genetic indicators related to long qt syndrome, as our pediatrician, after reading the autopsy from the ME thought that could have been a contributor.

My wife's OB explained and recommended the amniocentesis procedure, and we both discussed and declined, and left it up to God. We didn't want to know either way because what good is that information for decision-making anyway? This is our baby. There are no decisions to be made.

My daughter was born in 2018. We did, under the recommendation of our pediatrician, get an EEG to test brain function, and EKG to test for long-qt, which all came back good.

I cant understand the thought process of someone who willingly ends the life of the child that they created, especially if it's purely for selfish reasons, such as this. Im not surprised that they are dip**** youtube losers.

Absolute abomination.

The longer we stay on this earth, the more the flood makes sense.

Not to mention, it's possible to diagnose a false positive for Down syndrome. That was the case earlier on for my sister while my mom was pregnant with her. She's a doctor now.

That shouldn't affect whether or not someone ends the life of her own child, but just saying there's a non-zero chance that even their warped justification was still moot.

I have an 11 year old daughter with DS. Very similar story of delivery to Shank's son

I'm a Christian, but I fail in the forgiveness category here. I wouldn't lose a lick of sleep if this guy were meet a violently painful death for bragging about the abortion.
