Trump is an effect not a cause. When your side declared that white Christians were the enemy of America, referred to our homes as "fly-over country" and referred to us as deplorables and smelly Walmart shoppers a switch was flipped. Trump didn't radicalize me, the American-hating Democrat Party did.

Modern Democrats and their Marxist ideology is an appeal to greed, envy, pride, sloth, and jealousy which lead to bitterness, anger, and hatred. It propagates exactly what we're seeing in civil society today from them. Add in 60 years of brainwashing in public schools that our founders were evil, capitalism is bad, minorities are being oppressed, government is the solution to all ills, and everything is a crisis and you start to see how we've become so polarized.

The reason it's become so apparent in the last ten years is that the right has finally started fighting back politically with Trump and in the arena of free speech with Musk and social media.

Obama is my first thought as to the largest reason for the devide.

I have this theory that people are born predisposed to be either socialist or conservative. It goes beyond feelers vs. thinkers, as many non-feeler, intellectuals are socialists. There's something in the DNA. The former are more susceptible to the brainwashing that has occurred in our lower and higher education systems whereas the latter are not, which Is what I think explains this shift.

The democrat party has a serious mental health problem. Its the party of the aggrieved. All victims of the republicans. Women, minorities and immigrants.

Democrats are thankful for nothing. They're the party of covetousness and outright theft. They've rejected God and believe Satan's lies. As a result, they hate themselves and others. And if you think about it, the whole trans ideology stems from the same place. They want to be someone they are not and can never be.

Patriotism begins with thankfulness. It's recognition that you aren't #1 in the universe.

This shows how out of touch you truly are. Trump was a direct response from the awfulness of 8 years of Obama. Growing up in suburbia, north of Dallas, in the '90s and early '00s, racism seemed like a thing of the past. No one in school was racist. No one around me every talked about race.

Then Obama shows up and now it feels like race relations is back to the '60s. This happened BEFORE Trump ever took office. He simply rode the sentiment in America after 8 years of Obama.

The anti-Amercanism of the left and democrats is well over a hundred years old. Their party platform issues have been antithetical to the founding principles for a very long time. While during most of that time, most democrats were still patriotic in their emotional makeup yet failed to realize the long-term damage to the American ideal the ostensibly supported.

However, the connection between what they were doing to America via policy and how they felt about America publicly wasn't really made nor expressed until it became fashionable with Obama. Patriotism was okay for them as long as they remained ignorant of what they policies were actually manifesting. Greed overcomes the pleasure of patriotic feelings in the end.

This opinion is to describe the run-of-the-mill street level democrat. The elites have always known what they are doing and have always fundamentally hated American principles because it gets in the way of their ambitions for power, or at least it was supposed to before it became corrupted by these same people.
