Pressler was in SD to attend the GOP Convention. He had a ticket for the dinner and everything. They refused to let him in, and the SD GOP Chairman himself said it was at the direction of Thune. This is really, really bad for Thune. Mike Lee and some other members of Congress are calling him out for it. There was some jackass taunting Pressler about it in Pressler's video, and I don't see this going well for that guy!






Thune's staff tried to gaslight people on X, and within 15 minutes of them starting that, Presler posted the video of the SD GOP Chairman telling him it was Thune.

Because Presler has been nonstop pushing him on the SAVE Act. He partially blames Presler for Cornyn & Cassidy getting kicked to the curb as well.

Just more proof Thune is an idiot then. I don't know about Cassidy, but Cornyn was going to be out regardless of anything Presler or Trump may have said. Thats why when Trump ended up throwing his support behind Paxton I just rolled my eyes. Because it felt like a foregone conclusion by that point that Cornyn was gone, but now Trump gets to act like it was HIS influence and popularity that made it happen.

This guy was one of the key on the ground organizers in the midwest in 2024. He may have won the GOP Pennsylvania. For the Senate leader to shun him is a big deal.

Republican voters have awoken to the fact that our elected don't actually represent us in session, Pressler points that out over a large social media presence. He therefore is persona non grata to Thune and to probably most of our current reps

Correct! And look I think Pressler can be annoying, but whatever, ultimately he is doing good works.

There has been a lot of chatter in some corners that Thune is not only uninterested in remaining majority leader next year, but won't even run for re-election. Acts like this toward red voters in his home state portend that this could be true. Fine by me!

He was relentless in voter registration and get-out-the-vote activities.

Presler is more than an influencer. He is a vote organizer(of the good kind). He goes into these states, gets people to register, and then gets them to the polls. Everyone is correct in that he was very influential in PA.

Thune has got to go.

I wouldn't call Pressler an influencer. He's a conservative activist who posts his doings, a lot. The guy has put in real, hard work in trying to get Republican voters to the polls.

They don't have 50 votes for the non-watered down version. They have 50 votes for the version without the provision on mail in ballots. Which Trump has said he won't sign

But even if that's just strategy to get anything, vote 50 (Collins) has said she won't change the senate rules to get it passed. So she won't vote for it if it involves the talking filibuster etc

So again, it doesn't have 50 votes.

Collins constituents see the illegal immigrants in Maine. A single black person sticks out in Maine; I can't imagine what the large presence of Somalis are doing to them. She changed her vote from no to yes probably for this reason.

Thune can deal with McConnell's staff by exposing them. If they want jobs after this they will do what they are told.

The Natl Democrat Party got far more progressive than SD would agree with and Daschle was out there as the mouthpiece

She have never changed her vote or stance. She against the version with the mail in ballot provision and against changing the rules

They had some weirdness on the transgender issue too. I think I remember a few years back, they had a Republican majority in both legislative chambers and they sent a law banning youth gender transitions to a Republican governor who vetoed it. It turns out they have a fairly powerful pharmaceutical lobby in the state that didn't want the ban.

Maybe I'm thinking of North Dakota. Also, I probably can't find the article/podcast that talked about it.

In any event, Thune has to go. I'm sure he has an entrenched political machine like Harry Reid did in Nevada.
