Trying to help out a neighbor's kid. Young Aggie (AE BS in 24, MS in business 25), good grades, interned at Northup in Houston, moving to DFW for spouse's grad school. She's applied for a bunch at Lockheed, but hasn't heard anything. Thanks.

L3Harris in Greenville, TX East of DFW. Several engineering career fairs locally listed on LinkedIn coming up. They hire a lot of Aggie new grads.

Lockheed is a tough nut to crack without an inside contact. Sorry, I do not have one.

Also, if applying strictly for engineering positions I might be inclined to tell her to remove the MS in Business from her resume.
It is not value added for an entry level engineering position and it telegraphs a possible flight risk or even an uncertainty about what she wants to do when she grows up.

Sorry if that comes across harsh - just looking at it from an engineering hiring manager perspective, which I used to be, and I would have made some of those assumptions along with assuming this candidate would want / expect higher starting pay for a master's degree which adds no value to my engineering group.

I'm more than happy to help anyway I can, open to talking, reviewing a resume, and if she has a specific position of interest at L3H I still have contacts there I could get her resume to.

I'm in finance at RTX. Don't see any entry level positions currently posted. If anything pops up I am happy to be a referral.

I'd also be on the lookout at:
Sierra Nevada (Plano)
Bell Helicopter (Ft Worth)
Leidos
Northrop

Unfortunately Bell is on a bit of an informal hiring freeze. It looks like we still have job recs open, so I'd recommend applying to anything on this website:
https://textron.taleo.net/careersection/bell/jobsearch.ftl?lang=en

We were staffing up pretty heavily over the last year for the new FLRAA contract so there might still be some roles to get into, but unfortunately my team isn't looking for another AE.
FYI, Bell considers a relevant masters degree as 1 year of experience. There's a small chance she could be hired right into a level 2 engineering role, but that's usually for 2+ years of experience.

Edit to add: This role looks like it's a fresh posting. It is for a 'Senior' Engineer (i.e. level 2) but she might still try applying.

Son in law works for Lockheed since 2011. Will be seeing him this weekend and will ask. He's a 2011 Aero Grad.
