This team needs a big shakeup in the offseason. Year three is a big one for DeMeco and there need to be some big changes if they want to compete for anything significant.
What sort of changes? How much cap room do we have? Clearly need to upgrade the line and wr. Maybe thru the draft?

My original hypothetical stands…CJ showed flashes today, but ended-up being bad at the wrong times and making a lot of losing plays. (INTs, running OOB for a sack when he easily throws it away and saves 5 yards, delay penalties)
Obviously, CJ has full confidence going into next season, but the organization HAS to make the change and send Slowik packing. They can't do what the Astros have done with their hitting coaches and just use bad stats and flawed reasoning to keep him around.

Well, they're gonna play every game in the playoffs at home and the league doesn't seem to have any shame about openly giving them the advantage there. No objective person watched this game today and thought "man, the refs really played this one down the middle."

CJ needs a hard ass for an OC. He's the kind of guy I think would thrive with hard coaching.

The Texans offense while working with a lead is something that will be studied and it's almost 100% on the play calling.
For me it's hard to divorce Slowik from the offensive line to determine which is the bigger issue. Last year we had a worse line but they played above their projected ability and this year they've been bad to the point where it's probably the worst line Stroud has played behind. Improving the line is priority number one. CJ never recovered and that was unacceptable…I get being upset and emotional, but he absolutely needed to lead and he was never emotionally back into it…that is an issue as a leader.
