I'll start with who I think the Texans could realistically pick up from us this draft

As badly as they need O line (and it is a DESPERATE need) you'd think they could maybe take a flier on Bisontis, maybe trade down into the 2nd and see if he's there
Demeco and the front office seem hell bent on stacking defenders though. Cashius might actually be in play. Texans only gave Danielle Hunter a one year extension……I wouldn't mind seeing them take a flier on Crownover or Armaj somewhere in the middle to late rounds. And if they feel like they HAVE to have a big body on defense at the end of the draft……..Regis. I love that dude. I'd be ecstatic if they got him with a late pick. Boerkircher would be a great fit too. Unfortunately this front office seems very hesitant to draft Aggies. Only ones I can remember were dang ol' Randy and Kenyon Green. Which would understandably make any front office leery. Be utterly shocked if any of our guys land in HTown

For those that don't know, Mendoza has been labeled a bust by most of the league.
It's about to get hot.
He's been covering up some serious flaws.
One, he had a huge 21st birthday party at a famous cuban place in Bloomington and not one of his teammates went to the party. NOT ONE!!!
Two, he never read the play book that the Raiders gave to him months ago. They taped a $100 bill to the back. He never found it. When they asked about it, he lied !!!

Mendoza will be a Brown.

Plenty of possibilities on A&M's roster to end up in Houston, Zuhn is a possibility as is any LB because Houston has 4 LB's playing on the last year of their contract. I would say early Bisontis is the most likely player from A&M to be drafted by Houston due to the OL needs being so significant. One thing I learned this week about Bisontis, I think on The Athletic podcast, is that Tommy Moffitt said Bisontis is the strongest football player he has ever coached, including his time at LSU.

Houston also drafted Gillaspia in round 7 of the 2019 draft.

Well, there it is. Did my annual mock draft this morning and saved you all the trouble of actually having to watch this tonight.

For the record, I think this is worst case scenario for the Texans. I don't have anybody coming up to get Ty Simpson (which is probably wrong) and as a result they are stuck picking at 28. I'm not a big fan of Woods, but he seems like the safest pick there and you know DeMeco will get the most out of him.

That's a disaster scenario for Dallas. Downs and Delane going just before the Boys, them picking Jermod "the knee" McCoy at 12, and then taking an OT at 20 without trading down is the worst possible outcome for our first two picks.

I'm not crazy about McCoy either. Freeling is projected as going higher than this, so I thought that would be a win for the Cowboys.

He's still the 6th offensive lineman taken in the draft up to that point, and it is not a position of high need for us. No one is going to turn down a great OT, but I would consider that a fail

At a minimum I think Houston is going to try to get in front of SF. Most mocks I've seen have SF taking an OT since Williams won't be playing much longer. They probably need to consider getting in front of Philly as well because this might be Lane Johnson's last year, but Roseman probably tries to move up from 23 before that happens. The Chargers only have 5 picks in the draft so they're an obvious target if Caserio has any plans of trading up, but that plan only works if Philly stands put at 23.

I believe Miller and Lomu would both be solid picks at OT because their strengths are pass blocking though they'll need to bulk up some. Proctor is a monster but Alabama does not have a good track record with OT's working out in the NFL so I'd be happier with him as an OG.

I really don't know what to think of the DT's in this draft, I'd prefer best OL available whether OT or OG but there's no telling what the run on OL looks like tonight. I'm also not sure if there's going to be a chance to trade back, I'm not convinced any team will trade back into the first to draft Simpson.

I see what you did there. But he doesn't have P. Diddy repping him.

I watch that movie every year around the time of the draft

I don't want the Texans taking an OT in the first round. Barring an injury, that guy won't see the field this year. You have Ersery, Smith and Brown. There are several good right tackle prospects you can draft in the middle rounds who could develop this year or even next before they would have to play. And, I don't want to draft any right tackle who isn't a potential mauler in the run game.

I could see a bunch of scenarios for the Texans - everything from trading up to 16-22 for an OL/DL they want, or trading out of the first round completely like they've done before

There's some later round guys I like a lot as well. The top prospects at center might not even start coming off the board until the late second or into the third round. I'd also love it if we could take Stowers tomorrow in the second round. If they want him they'll have to take him at 38 because I don't think he's going to be there at 59. I do think there's a chance they take someone like Jacob Rodriguez at 38 though if he's there since Houston needs LBs after this season due to how many are in the last year of their deal.

They need to address center, but that can probably wait until day 3. Third round at the earliest. There just isn't a great center prospect, and I think they could take Zuhn in the fourth or fifth and be ok.

I don't think Stowers fits the Texans offense. He isn't a blocker.

I'm not sure what to think to Rodriguez, but if the Texans take him, I'll be excited about the pick. Heck, I'll trust Nick and DeMeco with just about any defensive player. They've earned that. By the same token, I'm going to be real skeptical about offensive players they take. They've earned that, too.

So who would the be moving into the middle rounds to get? Sadiq? One of the WRs? Oline? Not sure other positions hey would want at this point that would be worth it to trade up?

Interesting, according to Fantasy Pro's this guy had the most accurate mock draft in 2025

He definitely doesn't go with the flow that's for sure

Maybe getting plans in place if Downs falls. He is awesome, but safeties don't necessarily got too high. If he were to fall to 15 or so, maybe trying to jump up for him.

That's true, it's another place we could use and the top 3 are at a complete other level then the rest of the field with Downs being in a spot of his own.

Any Bears fans here? I'm wondering if they'll go for O-Line or D-Line/LB in the 1st round. Would love to see them get Cashius Howell. Bear down!

Will be interesting to see how the rest of the RB class plays out from here. For now, Love to the Cardinals should be good for Pollard/Spears, Skattebo/Tracy, and JCM/White from a fantasy perspective. Bad for Allgeier, Conner, and Benson.
