Those are good too especially if you like black dragons. Ponyta, Greninja, Mega Gengar, & Metagross are all up there too.

I want a shiny ponyta so bad

That was my first ever shiny in Go. I evolved her into Froslass as soon as it was released. I like I think of myself as one of the first ever to have it.

Went 4-1 earlier in general and got an oshawott. Tried premium, won 2 or of my first 3 and got another. I don't think the good types exist...

On a more positive note, clefable kicks butt.

It's kind of hard to explain, but the matchups feel... easier in premium? Almost like a lot of casuals use it to get the rewards faster. I've been noticing a lot of Venusaur and Scizors lately, along with Legendary Dogs. I encounter someone using a similar "hardcore PVP" lineup maybe once out of the 5 matchups. In regular, it's a crapshoot as to what you'll go up against. Sometimes you get someone with the same "hardcore" lineup as you, other times you get a casual who is resorting to using the most powerful Pokemon they have.

Finally had a chance to test out my Swampert/Gardevoir/Giratina lineup last night, going 4-1 in Ultra. Had 2 opponents with lineups of Venusaur/Giratina/Mewtwo, and Scizor/Lucario/Giratina. Gardevoir was able to just tear through those. The loss was in my final matchup where I got screwed over by the 3 shield glitch. Guy was using Reyquaza/Swampert/Entei. Pretty crappy way to miss out on 7 Rare Candy.

Swampert is a massive pain in the butt.

Even without it he's good. Give him a poison move and he handles fairy too.

Is Petal Blizzard two or three bars? If so, use that. Solar Beam is a beast, but only if your Venusaur lasts long enough to use it, and your opponent doesn't block it.

In general 1 bar moves are tough to use effectively.

Anyone have any quick tips for getting star dust faster? I have never gotten past like 400k...I am around 150k now

I use my dust when I get it. I got it up to around 70k but then blew it all for a Great League Team. Now I've been getting Lucario & Venusaur as close to 2500 as I can.

No such thing as a quick tip. I try to star piece before my 7-day streak catch. Battle League and Rocket have decent dust rewards, and of course there's mass hatching (and the resources that go into it).

Other than that, it's grinding, and trying not to spend any more than you have to.

This, but not all x bar charge moves have the same energy requirement. The number of bars is purely an estimate

Anyone running togekiss? I keep seeing it as a fairy. Thinking about replacing clefable with it. Hidden power gives many options, so not sure what would be best. If seems like a good counter for dragons as well as grass. I have a hidden power ice togepi I could evolve that would deal big damage to dragons and venusaur, and I could give it DG or aerial ace and flamethrower

Maybe I won't do that... Clefable has gone out and one shotted my last two opponents' closers, a kingdra and a giratina. I've charmed the crap out of something and powered up dazzling gleam, only to pull clefable for a better, or sometimes worse, match that will finish off whatever it's up against. Hopefully my second mon can hit their closer with a charge to draw out their final shield or get knocked out by a charge. Then clefable goes back in and lights them up.

I finally pulled Lucario off the team. Not nearly enough normal or steel in line ups and way too many people don't waste shields. Added Lugia. Seems to be okay. Not many people are running electric or dark to counter.

I dumped him too. Flygon, Gardevoir, and Venusaur make up my team at the moment

I'm still with rolling with Venusaur, Giratina-A, and Clefable. I'm pretty consistently going 3-2 and sometimes 4-1 with it. I want to mix it up, but it feels like every time I do, my opponent has just the right counters to pound me.

After being maybe 30 wins under .500, I've clawed my way back up to 159-156.

Went 3-2 in my last 5 matchups after getting to Level 7 and getting my Luchadore Pikachu outfit. Swapped Swampert in my lineup with Venusaur so I have that, Giratina Altered and Gardevoir. Problem with this last round is I was getting destroyed by the switching. I start with Venusaur but had 4 matchups where the opponent would start Giratina. I'd switch to Gardevoir and then they would switch to like Swampert or something else. The two losses came from a 3 shield glitch and then the switch delay glitch.

I had to pull my magnezone in favor of venasaur. It feels like everyone has a swampert. I finally ranked up to where I can see my ranking - 2581 presently

I went 4-1 last night with Armaldo/Swampert/Clefable. Clefable demolished a few Giratinas along the way. Had mixed success with that lineup before, but did great last night. Then my reward was a Meditite. So, that was awesome.

Keep venusaur out longer. Beat giratina down with frenzy plant or sludge wave and try to make them burn shields. When you're close to getting knocked out, send out gardevoir. You can do it either right before or right after you release a charge move. Right after gives you an element of surprise, but right before puts a one shot cannon in your pocket. Charm will hit giratina hard while they try to switch. You might knock it out, but even if you don't you've dealt damage and are at least partially charged for their counter.

What CP are your Clefables?

The one I use is 2432, level 40, 98%.

Yeah, mine's a maxed out hundo, 2437 CP.
