I don't have the same mon as all of you, but I primarily run the following...

Arcanine w/ Snarl and Wild Charge (WC is very deceptive. I can't tell yo uthe amount of times someone helda shield and got hit by an electric and their mon lose all it's HP)

Vaporeon w/ Water Gun and Water Pulse

Venusaur w/ Vine Whip and Petal Blizzard


The gameplan will be to ride Arc as long as I can. The only times that I know I might as well forfeit is when the start with water. I would have to switch to Vap but the outcome would be determined. This doesn't ahppen often.

If they switch to water, I switch to Ven. If I ride Arc to 0%, I go to Ven, if they switch to fire, I switch to Vap.

I am pretty much in every battle to the end and pretty much go 2-3 or 3-2.

I do not own many high-level mons. I have never used a TM. Therefore, I am all gameplan. Like I said before, it is fun.

What are they going to do in a week. It says the season ends March 1. Does that mean they close the Battle doors, or they just reset and start a new season?

I thought they were switching to master league for a few weeks then starting the first real season of great league after that.

Everything up to this point has been preseason.

CD move rock wrecker for Rhyperior looks great. Too bad I already evolved my 100% Rhydon last year

Finally finding some wins. Went 8-2 with Snorlax/Lucario/Gardevoir. Really dying to get my Togekiss ready to go instead of Gardevoir.

Can someone explain the way Poke Genie determines PvP IVs? I have a few Riolus I'm debating evolving, and each have similar IVs. Three are between 89-91% and have "good" or "above average" PvP IVs, according to PG. Then I have an 82% Riolu with what look to be lower IVs, but PG gives him "97% Great PvP IVs." I'm a little confused by all these numbers.

This is pretty dumbed down, but attack/defense/HP all add up equal the CP of a Pokemon. For Great League and Ultra League, you obviously don't want your Pokemon to max all the way out to the top CP the Pokemon can obtain, but to come as close to the 1500/2500 cap as possible. So if your Pokemon has stats, it will have a higher CP at a given level which puts you at risk of not coming as close to that cap as you possibly can. Hope this helps some lol

If you want to use your Lucario for PVP, then I would assume the best PVP one per its calculations.

So I am now rank 8 in go league, and after going 4-1, my rating went from like 2581 to 2595. So higher is better on the rating I guess?

Are you using it for ultra league/great league or gyms/raids/master league? If first, go with the PVP IVs that correspond with that, if the latter, go with the IVs that correspond with that.

Just a friendly reminder, go ahead and teach Riolu his second move before evolving!!!

Got 2 couch shiny in the last three hours.

Back between about Thanksgiving and Christmas, I got 23 non-CD shiny. This is way more than usual for a month span, which is maybe 3. I've seen other people go through other spates, which one might think is just RNG, but it just seems way beyond rolling 1/480 over and over (or whatever the number is).

Nantic announced a few months ago that it was experimenting with some things with some trainers. My theory is that people get a temporary boost to their shiny rate.

I think my side account is an experimental one. I have different settings options on it than my main, even on the same phone.

I am going to have my work cut out tomorrow. My brother is coming in with his family and we are going to NOLA for a Mardi Gras parade. In the middle of all this I need to evolve a 92%Rhydon, but I just realized I only have 5 candies!

Just had a very frustrating raid experience. Went in to solo an Alolan Raichu. Lucked out and saw 3 other trainers in the battle so I just ran with whatever Pogo suggested instead of using counters. They all backed out the second the battle started and screwed me over. I tried the raid again after that and the app crashed. Tried a third time and it crashed again.

Thanks for the tip on Arcanine. I have one with Snarl/Wild Charge/Fire Blast. He's worked great as a starter. I went 3-2 last night and 4-1 (in premium this time) just now with Arcanine/Snorlax/Clefable. Twice, my opponent has switched out their starter right away and subbed in Giratina. I left Arc get some in and then sub in Clefable to finish it. One opponent actually burned both shields defending Giratina from Arcanine in the first match. Never stood a chance against Clefable.

I thought these issues were fixed, but I also had problems with a raid the other day. They may not have backed out. The app froze for a bunch of us doing a tornadus raid and we all had to restart.

Sorry I never got back to your email. I saw it and kept meaning to respond, but also kept getting busy/distracted. Maybe next time I'm in the area we can meet up.

Or I'll take up spoofing.

Hey bankshot11 - NitroParty98, we hit best friends in two days, which I guess will be the next gift if opened this event. I just sent you one, and I'm level 40, so open when you want.

4 shiny, 1 96% lvl 35. Played 30 minutes because I forgot this was today.

Also, just fought a battle I was sure I'd lose. Got a venusaur matched up to my swampert to start. Didn't have good counters, so I hit it with my alolan muk for a bit until he switched to a swampert. Then I switched to giratina, to which he responded by switching to alolan muk. I hit it with whatever I could until I could switch back to swampert. Then the venusaur came back out and knocked out swampert real fast. I was down to no shields, and he had 2. Then it became giratina vs venusaur, and I finished him off. Then he switched to swampert, and I knocked it out too with giratina's dying breath. After that, it was a muk on muk battle. He had shield, and I didn't, but I had a charge built up. Forced the shield burn, then went back and forth. I was at about a quarter health and he was just below me when I got a charge move, but he beat me to the punch. I was sure I was done, but he didn't quite get me. I had a sliver of health and fired as soon as the animation cleared to knock him out. Consisting the matchups and early advantages, he had me dead to rights, but I still came out on top.

Am I missing something? None of my evolves got the special move

Question-will the radar thing tell you if there is a shiny nearby or does a shiny display as regular?

I did get a 96 that evolved all the way to Riperior

I only got to catch a few, since my son had a baseball game. But I did have a 98% Rhydon that I was saving and evolved in time.

Been rolling Gengar, Mamoswine, and Venusaur with great success recently.

Finally doing the battling thing today to get stones. I'm running Giratina - A Muk - Swampert and rolling through most. Just upgraded a Blast Burn Charizard that I can't wait to try out, but now I gotta go walk

Regular. You can't see that it's shiny until the catch screen (or after Plus/gotcha catches it for you).

Try parking lots. I was cruising around the parking lot of the shopping center down the street and had 4 within 15 minutes.

ETA I've always had my best community day luck with shinies in shipping center parking lots. No idea why.
