Do "Lucky" Pokmon exist?

I think they're only created by doing Lucky trades with people?

I have 2 pokestops tantalizingly close to where I live. If only I was one of those lucky people who could click on them while I was sitting in bed or doing laundry.

Yeah, I'm at the start of a 6+ week "social distancing." I'm already on pokeball life support.

Season 1 of Go Battle League is live. I can't partake yet because I've used up all my battles for the day.

I have a Gyarados I plan to use for Ultra League.

It has Dragon Breath, Crunch, and Outrage.

Should I use a TM to get Hydro Pump instead of Crunch?

Got a 10k earlier this week. Surprisingly got a good timburr.

Got 4 wins in battle league and got a metagross encounter

My 4th win was lucky. I knocked out all of the other guy's Pokemon and his pokeballs showed it, but then all of a sudden he brought out one that was mostly but not entirely dead. Damn thing almost beat my last mon. Glitches get stitches?

I saw 5 teams with the exact same composition it was pretty weird.


They started off with an azumarill..... the azumarill would kill my first mon. I'd kill the azumarill. Then they would put out registeel and I'd switch to hitmontop. Unfortunately, these guys always countered or brought out an Altaria.

1/4 of the teams I fought today were azumarill, registeel, altaria.

Pretty stiff competition for the lower levels.

Went 4-1 and just barely lost because fired off the last charge move a hair before mine. Got a Metagross and 20 candy. Feeling awesome. Moved up to level 2 and got absolutely wrecked. Went 1-4 and only 3 of the hatches were close. The coolest counter I saw was a Hypno that knew a psychic fast attack and Ice Punch & Thunder Punch as charge attacks. It dominated my team, but then they ran out Ivysaur and Mightyena so it was my only win.

I've seen the hypno before as well. Thought about maybe adding one to my team.

I'm still trying to make improvements across the board, but I'm happy overall. I win about 75% of my matches played.

Not completely confirmed, but it looks like they'll bump the nominations limit from 7 to 14 from 3/19 to 3/30 to compensate for the double-nomination bug from the last month.

Went 21-14 today, combination of regular and premium, and wound up with three Metagross.

Started off 0-5 to begin season 1 of great league. I am now 23-7 with a 20 win streak heading into tomorrow. Just had to spend 170k stardust to get back my pride.

What does that mean

Started really strong and got to rank 7 and was immediately HAMMERED. I went 4-10 in my premium battles this evening...I run good meta Pokmon alternating from Clefable, Melmetal, Azu, Skarmory, Scrafty, Lucario, etc. and just led into a counter every single time. An absolutely absurd run of horrible luck...and very frustrating.

Been being hammered the last few rounds, but finally managed a 4-1. Got a giratina. It sucks, but it's free candy and better than tepig.

I finally settled on Leafeon as the third. It wrecks Azu and is neutral to most. I haven't seen many fire or poison types. Just gotta watch out for the occasional ice beam or Lapras (it's still super effective).

Went 4-1 again. Got another giratina.

Went 8-2 yesterday and got 2 Metagross

I dunno if this is the place to ask, but with all the junk going on I'm wondering if a Pokmon game would be a good go to for a low stress casual game to unwind with at night. Between my kids and stuff I have access to play pretty much anything up thru the 3ds games. What's a good one to play?

I would say the best 3Ds Pokemon game would be UltraSun/Moon. It's a fun story and kind of hand holds for the start if you've never played before. Plus the postgame gives you access to lots legendary & shiny. Then the sun/moon anime is available online if the kiddos want to watch.

X/Y would be my choice. It introduces megas and is probably the easiest of the games. Not that any of them are really difficult.

Too much before that and the graphics may turn off the kids.

Oh this isn't for the kids, it's more for me. Just need to unwind and stop watching the news and reading twitter, and playing shooters or grinding a more hardcore rpg isn't gonna bring my blood pressure down any. Figured something more light and casual but still combat driven would be good. Pokmon seems to hit that sweet spot from what I know of it. Graphics don't matter to me, so I'm game for even trying to track down old GBA era titles.

Then if you like Pokmon then they're all good in some ways. It's a basic turn based rpg. They're all fairly similar. Don't expect much from the story. You get a starter. Start catching. Win gyms. Beat a bad team. Become champion. You enjoy collecting you can complete the dex. If you enjoy battling then you can build competitive teams. You'll need a switch and sword / shield to get into online play / battling.

Balls. I need balls.

Wayfarer is the online system for people to review other people's nominations for Points Of Interest (and keep track of your own). The system could always use more reviewers, to help speed the nominations through. Plus, for every 100 agreements you get with other reviewers, one of your own submissions can be Upgraded, meaning when it goes into voting, it'll get reviewed and therefore resolved more quickly.

ETA: But be sure to brush up their guidelines first.
