More people max than you think, and those that don't would get even less. Also, those "couple cents" add up.

In real world valuation based on the in game transactions, each coin is roughly 1 cent. That's 50 cents per day. Max value is roughly $180/year. Even if I'm getting half, that's $90/year in free in game currency. By introducing this rework, they're looking to cut that even further. If you're grinding out 25 coins now, you're looking at maybe only 8-13 depending on if you can complete the 5 coin tasks. That's a $45 swing. If you're maxing, it's around a $90 swing.

So the absolute most this could effect you is $90 in a year. Seems insignificant when most don't get anywhere near that. I don't find the need to spend a bunch on this game and I'm no where near maxing our coins daily.

I'm noticing a lot fewer Giratina-Altered in Ultra the last two days and a lot more steel types. Almost every team used to have a Giratina-A. It's almost to the point where it feels like a detriment to my team comp to include a Charm-er.

Season 2 starts up Monday, so I've moved to putting resources into the team I want to run for Great League in S2: Alolan Ninetales, Alolan Marowak and Azumarill. Probably not the most "meta" comp, but I enjoy those Alolan variants so I want use them for a bit.

Also, has anyone seen any Ghost spawns during the day for the Johto Event?

That's an estimate, not a max.

If you're nowhere near maxing out coins, be prepared to get even fewer. I've been free to play since the beginning. I don't spend anything on this game. I know they need money for servers and development, but I also know they're using me as a money making tool to sell sponsored stops and data. They're also kind of ****ty at development.

Incense helped out a ton once I had some free time to play today.

Got Ho-Oh and it's not bad. This set of research was a lot easier since I didn't have to go find a raid.

For Johto research, how am I supposed to catch a fighting type? I'm pretty sure the only fighting type in gen 2 is Herecross (regional), Hitmontop (evolution, doesn't spawn) & Tyrogue (maybe spawns? Egg only?)

Machops have been all over the place for me. I don't think it has to be one from that region.

Only 6 shiny Snubble between my 2 accounts, and of course all of them are decent but not close to perfect. Got a few 96% and 98% though.

Also got my Ho-Oh with earthquake. Not that great of arts either. Meh.

Have had good luck with some 4-1 lately. Almost solely starters.

What I hate about legendaries being in the reward pool is that they suck up your resources to catch them.

Spending 50+ balls for a Landorous is not fun or rewarding. It's punishing. This catch system, along with catching any pokemon from a research/task reward should be reworked.
One possible rework idea is to make the catch like the Jirachi catch: you just throw a ball, unlimited uses, until it happens but you can't use candy

I fat fingered it and accidentally used a premium pass for battle. Then wound up going 5-0 with Arcanine/Snorlax/Clefable. My reward Pokemon was a 2-star Skarmory.
