I doubt it. They just don't want to do the starters and top ones too quickly or they'll run out. Add in the community day from home for now and it just means they'll keep running out other ones.

Looks like the impossibly fast charge move thing in GBL was real. That's why its been down all day. Apparently someone learned how to exploit it, and it got documented.

Must be some seriously bad/easy exploit for it to be down this long. They have to be approaching 24 hours, and that's longer than any maintenance period they've had for any feature... Ever? Even the complete gym redo only took a few hours.

Here is a theory about how the exploit works. If they're correct, it may be a whlie.

Reading through that, it may not be correct. Not saying it isn't, but there's a lot of dissention.

However, I think the guy is definitely somehow taking advantage of a bug he's figured out how to exploit. I've been confident I've taken damage during charge attacks because I'll be in the green before and in the yellow after, but I've never documented it and always chalked it up to lag. It seems he's dealing damage and gaining energy during charge moves. That leads me to believe he's figured out how to replicate that bug to take advantage of it.

It could be a basic exploit of tapping a certain way or using a script, but the code is definitely broken and he's definitely cheating.

Thoughts on the Go Fest ticket? Anybody going to buy it? Wondering if it's worth the money.

$15 for some mobile game content just makes me cringe a bit. I can get the destiny 2 xpac for $20 on Steam. A lot of DLC content for console and PC games are in the $15 dollar range.

Depends on the content. If it's just special research and a few items, no. If it's multiple regionals I never have access to, maybe.

In the games you have to land 3 critical hits in a row, but there is nothing like that mechanic in Go.

For someone who never played a Pokemon game before this one, can someone explain mega evolutions? Is it just another stage of evolution, or is there something special to it?

You need a special stone.

You can do it once per battle.

It is not permanent.

Not all pokemon get them (<50)

It makes them extremely powerful.

Charizard & Mewtwo both have 2 different mega evolutions.

I would guess PvP and PvE for Go.

Mega is a Gen 6 mechanic so are we getting Gen 6 as well?

Just to let yall know Z moves (one super-strong special move) were the gen 7 mechanic and dynamaxing (mix between mega and z move where you get giant-some change forms- and have 3 super strong moves) is the gen 8 one.
