My experience

Pros
I enjoyed the hourly changes. It was similar to how the real in person go fest where different areas are different bioms
Some Fun new mons - unown, rotom, a-marowak spawns, heatmore (new to me at least)
Some rare spawns - able to get a garchomp, g-Darumaka, Huntail (had 3 Gorebyss)


Cons
I expected a higher shiny rate. I can get a half dozen in a community day, but I got 5 today in much much much more play.
Only some rare spawns - how cool would it be to see a bunch fully evolved starters with community day moves or maybe middle evolution pseudos. Maybe even switch a bunch of regionals. Cmon!
No new legendary or mythicals (maybe it'll change tomorrow)
Lagging, glitches, Server issues for the first several hours
Day 2 of Team Rocket sounds not good

Overall it was pretty okay. I probably wouldn't spend another $15 on it unless tomorrow is awesome.

Much of the same. Shiny rate was kind of low, and the regional choice was idiotic. All of the regionals were previously available through events. That's... pathetic. So were the server issues to start the day.

However, I did get some new stuff and things that aren't typically available or are rare. Picked up some new shinies as well.

Wondering what they have for tomorrow.

I will say I did get an invite to a raid in South Korea and got a South Korean dialga. It's not a great one, but it's got distance.

Got invited to a Giratina O raid and failed to catch it

All in all, GoFest was not that great. Decent shiny haul, and shadow mewtwo is alright, but the content wasn't with $15. Shiny rate was kind of low, and regional selection was terrible.


Day one was ok. It was nice to have the rotating biomes, but the selection in them wasn't great in retrospect. Needed actual regional unlocks, not just zangoose, seviper, and durant. That was hugely disappointing. Should have been complete unova regional unlocks. More than 2 unown letters would have been nice as well. Really got tired of seeing them.

Day two was full of meh. After the first hour it was boring AF. Nothing but a team rocket takeover event with shadow legendary rewards. Nice to have all of the stuff from day one come back all together, but that got old fast waiting for something good to pop up after I'd caught everything. By that point it was just shiny checking. Decent for what you got from research, but not great.

I probably wouldn't do it again. It felt like they really held back simply because it wasn't in person. Hard to really get into an event where they're holding back a ton of content that they could release just because it's a widespread event. If that was the reasoning, it pisses me off. Stop keeping all the good stuff for the whales willing to drop a ton of money on flights and a hotel room for a one or two day event in Chicago. Hold Safari Zones in the US that aren't on the coasts.

Day 2 definitely needed something else going on. Some more free raid passes would have been nice....lol
