Careful with your red balls, especially if you use a Plus/gotcha. Niantic nerfed them coming out of gifts, and Support won't even acknowledge it, let alone was it announced.

ETA: Opened all my gifts and got 18 red balls.

They need to really reevaluate their events. GoFest was a big bag of meh, and their unlock weeks are turning into the same if not worse. It feels like many recent events have been super hyped and plagued with really low drop or spawn rates for anything good.

Yes, the current spawns are better than the usual generic crap, but they get boring quickly. It's not like I never see swablu, trapinch, and horsea. Dratini is nice, but they've already had a community day. So has bagon. I've seen a single gible and no deino at all. Hatch rates for both are estimated at 0.5%. "If you're lucky..." is seemingly niantic's euphemism for, "If you spend a couple hundred bucks on incubators..."

It's like the only things they will actually release in events are the gen 1-2 things that most everyone already has or what they've released in a community day/event before. Everything else is "available" but under RNG lockdown.

I just want the rest of gen 5 and increased gen 5.

I have caught 4 Gibs. The best being a cp457 80%.

I hatched one Deino and caught the two specials which were not that special.

I think there was a huge missed opportunity to turn off pretty much all spawns, but gen 5 when it was released. It would have been like the game was new again.

At least dragon week had some interesting spawns imo. I mean, I never saw any dragons in my area except Swablu. So even if Deino wasnt spawning and Gible was super rare, it was way better than this Enigma week...

The spawns for this week are Staryu, Jigglypuff, Clefairy, Solrock, Lunatone, Baltoy, Bronzor, Elgyem, and Beldum.

I don't give a crap about any of those except Beldum. None of those pokemon have a place in PvE (except Metagross I guess) and and just a couple have a place in PvP.

Plus, the raid encounters are meh. Is normal form Deoxys good?

I got really lucky with gible catches this week, so I'm satisfied. I made numerous walks to the nearby park when they showed up on the radar.

I swear Niantic rewards people who pony up money. I've had awful luck with gyms lately so I caved and bought $20 worth of Pokecoins to get remote raid passes. Was rewarded with a shiny Alolan Exeggcuter, a shiny Psyduck and a 100% Magikarp during CD. Only 2 shiny Karp though. I also bought the 99 cent research task on my alt account and got 10 shiny Karp and a shiny Growlithe. Between both accounts this is the most shiny Pokemon I've ever gotten in such a short amount of time.

I didn't pay a cent and caught 5 shiniest in just over an hour. It happens.
