I have a question I have been wondering about for a while. What kind of transfer speeds do you get when downloading photos from your camera's card to your computer? I often have several dozen gigs of pictures after an outing. Usually when I start downloading, it progresses pretty quickly at the start, around 150mbs or so. Then after a short while, it will go down to maybe 30-50mbs, sometimes slower, and stay there for the most part. Is this typical?

When I am downloading photos to my computer I always make sure that both my virus scan and my Crashplan backup software are both paused. I also have most programs closed.

I might import 10-75gb without any slowdown.

I'm not under the illusion that $10k is the top of the price range for cameras. I was just surprised at this one.

Rented a Sony FE 70-200, 2.8 to shoot this week but especially my youngest grandgirl's K graduation. I liked this shot of her class in a line with her on the end. The body is the a7RIII.

I love landscape photos with a really close foreground element. think it makes them much more interesting and helps draw you further into thr picture. hyperfocal distance.

Ok. Just had the Sony version of the nifty fifty while walking around today. Mostly was in Belfast and was getting graffiti stuff, but thought this background for a park was too cool. Tried to focus on something close while getting the cliffs. Couldn't quite get Scotland in the pic.
