Yes. Doesn't drop every possible item since he isn't high enough level, but can get you most of what you might want. Lots of folks run the pit in Act 1 hell instead.

The ancients way as well. I get irritated with ancients with the hammerdin, usually end up trying to find a cbaal game not doing them first, and clearing andy/meph right now.

The one thing I disagreed with Llama and a lot of other streamers about, I DO wish they would enable /players on bnet, even if it only works when theirs one person in a game. It's one thing when you might be competing against another group MFing a game.... when someone has a team of 5-6 bots, they're clear every MF zone in a game in seconds and you're just kinda boned. I would be fine with it only being in one person private games, but dang.... itnwould be nice to be able to MF in peace, cause they aren't gonna stop the bots.

Yeah. There is no good reason not to enable /players command in D2R online. It's no different than running higher torment levels in D3.

LOL. Apparently some modders found that old mods still worked with D2R and were able to use hero editor to unlock other classes than the 3 in the alpha.

I mean with multiplayer play most of the duping and character modding stuff should be taken care of I would figure. Multiplayer save files are server side vs offline mode right? They will never stop bots but I'm sure they can fix duping and modding.

Correct, as far as I'm aware

Actually that dupe/lag issue is going to work online because it's it's save state/update issue. It's actually a new way to exploit the way closed bnet duping went on back in the day.

It can be stopped to an extent, but it's being publicized so they will address it before it becomes a real issue....especially since there are really easy ways to make dupes uniqu/perm with runewords.

I do a daily check for D2R news... it's pretty sad. It pretty much made me take a break from gaming until it comes out. Having two kids under the age of 4 has something to do with that as well, but D2 is my favorite game of all time. As a dad in his mid 30s, I can't think of something I'd want more than a remaster of it.

Based on the versions being uploaded (track it HERE if you're interested) and other over-researching I've done, I think we're likely going to see the multiplayer beta hit in the next couple of weeks. Or they may hold off and try and do that around the 20 year anniversary of LoD at the end of June.

So I played D2 for years but all of my run throughs with the patch remastered will be on were basically hammerdins. Are there other viable characters that aren't super annoying with immunes?

I know without nigma readily available sorcs are a go to but I would really be annoyed dealing with immune situations. Anything else that can navigate most of hell without any major issues?

I've picked Grim Dawn back up and forgot how smooth and awesome that game is. It is what I wanted D3 to be.

Grim dawn is a great game but I really wish it had online servers and server side character storage to make it a true multiplayer experience.

Treating it like a single player ARPG is still fun though.

They have teams implementing the TBC launch right now followed up by some Retail WoW stuff. I'd bet that they hold this for late June on the next tech alpha, July for the FnF/Streamer Beta and then September or early October for a release. They absolutely want this to be available prior to Black Friday/Cyber Monday.

Lightning Javazon is viable for the most part except for act 3 hell, and parts of act 4 and 5. Once you get your merc an infinity you are good to go though.

Skiller blood gloves are also GG due to crushing blow. Grifon's with lightning facet also helps a ton but good luck finding those.

Aesthetically the ascent looks cool but is there much to the gameplay besides pointing and shooting a gun? I see one bubble ability in a video but don't see much else to spice it up?

Seems like a reasonable enough schedule prediction. I'd kill for a late summer release. I can't think of anything I'd like to do more than stream a PAC 12 football game on my 2nd monitor that lasts until 1 in the morning while I get drunk and do about 300 MF runs. All after the Ags win in the earlier time slots.

If basically even kill for Diablo immortal at this point. I'm halfway tempted to fire up D2 again for the heck of it before resurrected comes out.

I am wondering if there will be something to replace D2JSP for trading or if it will still reign supreme when this gets released. I'm sure the website owners would love a resurgence.

I wish that instead of an auction house, they had some kind of trade house. You put in an item you want to trade, and list out what you want in return. Someone else puts an item to trade in escrow and you can select yes or no for the transaction. Then the server handles it and tracks it.

Problem is, Diablo 2 doesn't have a real currency. Gold is meaningless because repairs cost so much and it is pretty freely available.

Would need to remove repair system and make gold a little more important for something so people could trade somewhere. D2JSP is the only place where you can say I have X currency and would like this item. Diablo 2 unfortunatet has never had a set currency for these types of transactions. SOJ was closest back in the day, rune value is all over the place so not reliable. Now just a free for all on what is worth what.

I lost my original account somewhere mine is only a couple years old. Still got 350 gold. Prices going to be nuts at the beginning though.


Really all I care about that they are doing is better resolution and updated battle net integration. Being able to have a real friends list will be nice.

Word to the wise - Blizzard's release of Warcraft III: Reforged was a horrible "remake/remaster" with some of the biggest fabrications of what they advertised would be in the final product versus how it actually came out.

I hope they've learned their lesson, but I am going to wait until this gets released to see if I may purchase. In this situation with access to the beta being a part of the pre-order, I guess it might help to make that final decision, though.

I played the Alpha and was pretty impressed as it was.

Vicarious Visions is handling this remaster. I understand the concerns after the Warcraft III debacle but it's a completely different team and one with a very good reputation. Just a friendly FYI to try and help alleviate any concerns if you haven't been following this project closely.

I used to have 120K FG on there. Those were the days. Couple of my 08 Valks still floating around the game.

Def going to be jumping back in to remastered but playing ladder.

I already preordered a long time ago lol. I'll take the early access either way
