WTF is this game? It doesn't feel like battlefield at all. Where are the huge maps with tons of cool vehicles? The vehicles all feel like an afterthought and the maps are too small for them. I really miss BF4 which was the last great BF game IMO.
I've been playing since BF1942 and this is the first time a BF game has not felt like a BF game. It's like the developers wanted to make COD. It doesn't have that BF soul.
I think we are playing different games, because this feels very much like a return to form of what it use to be. Granted not all game modes have large maps and vehicles, but the ones that do feel pretty great. If you're making this statement about this game and not 2042, then you haven't been playing in a while.
I think a lot of the frustration and angst most people are having with this game is that it feels like there are people around every corner (and in some maps/gamemodes, there are). But like games of old, once you learn the maps & anticipated rotation of certain spawns, you can set yourself up nicely for some strategic gameplay & higher k/ds.
Also, you have a lot of people buying & playing that are not battlefield enthusiasts, so a lot of the strategic gameplay & class utilization seems sporadic & chaotic; once these people filter out you'll see a lot more original battlefield players stick with it and play the maps & gamemodes as they were designed & intended.
