I'll say one thing about fighting the queen: You've never seen so many professional looters until you take one of those down. It's like a bunch of piranhas... picked clean in seconds!!!

Most have figured out, if you need cores, just loot the fallen leg armor as it's falling off... you just gotta get there before the other vultures!

I'm normally very PVE unless someone is aggressive. We were killing the Queen and noticed the vultures barely shooting it with light weapons while my buddy and I were going through a ton of energy ammo.

The second a leg dropped three of them ran to it and I got pissed. Downed all three and told them I would defib them when I was done killing and looting, if they were still alive. They all ended up dying before we finished her. Oh well.

2-3 Raiders doing all the Queen damage.

As soon as anything hits the ground:

Same goes for the Harvester. Don't show up after we already found all 3 batteries and expect to loot one of the cannisters when it drops.

I'm mostly just blowing up the big ARC, doing a few quests here and there, and pvping if anyone wants to team up sometime.

The ARC are definitely starting to get smarter and more difficult. They are travelling in better packs, the shredder and rocketeer feel like they can hear across the map... I'm still having a ton of fun.

I'll take inventory, but I have a few more blueprints. I know I have a bobcat, jupiter (maybe), wolfpack, torrente, anvil, and a couple others. Maybe a deadline or two.

Oddly I have all of those except the anvil if you're willing to part with it!

I get it... all the quests are done, been completing most weekly trials and just finished the current project which pretty much completed my blueprint collection of the "best" items to have.

So now what?

I'm still really enjoying the game... it's still a blast taking down big arc and meeting up with and helping other raiders. I should probably start fiddling with PVP stuff as well, but my 40-something self isn't big on that anymore. Maybe I'll start being that guy that runs around playing instruments.

i didnt extract the first go around; i may do it this time.

I read that the devs don't feel like the Queen/Monarchs are were made too easy to defeat... they just had NO idea that the game would become this over the top friendly and that entire servers would unite to bring them down in 5-10 minutes.

I had one game where a lone sniper was trying to pick off the people working to take down a Monarch. When I left to extract there was a group of 3 that demanded I show them my guns... lol, they were looking for the sniper.

I've only tried once, but I'm wondering if the weekly "4K damage to Queen/Monarch" challenge is going to prove difficult.

There are typically so many people flocking to kill the thing, it might be hard to get that much damage before it's taken down.

Took me 3 runs to get the "damage wasps" completed because there are so many other jack asses running around doing the same thing... the skies are free and clear of flyers because everybody is shooting them down as fast as they can!

If you're in a safe lobby and comfortable with snap hook, a vulcano four on top of the matriarch does this pretty quickly. The deadline method takes a little more skill, but just getting up there and firing as fast as you can is more guaranteed damage. Goes pretty quickly too.

Jump/grapple on top. Destroy one side of the cover. Il Toro or Ven is roughly 1100-1200 damage per magazine.

All great ideas and I'll give it a try this weekend.

I've had this game since October and still haven't played enough to even do one expedition. How does it work if I finally do my first expedition in the third expedition window? Do I only get the same rewards that everyone else got back when they did the first expedition during the first window?

I finally got it. I had at least 7 late spawns in a row. Most of the time I was 10 minutes late... But one game was only 5 min and the Queen was still already dead. Got really frustrating just running to extraction.

But I finally got a clean start and got it done. 1 deadline, 2 Wolfpacks and the rest with Hullcracker. Even stopped to revive a bro along the way.

Quick question for you nerds...if I do not enjoy single player games AT ALL but I enjoyed Socom and Last of Us multi-player, is there any chance I'd enjoy this game?

I miss 3rd person shooters, but due to my ADHD or some other unknown reason, I can not get into any single player campaigns.

1) there's no "campaign" so to speak, but there are quests you can complete, optionally.

2) it's $40 so I'd take a chance on it. It's the biggest game right now

If you have a mic and like to meet and talk with others... This is a really great game to play solo.

The guests and things to upgrade / collect go fast enough that it shouldn't bother your ADHD, but they are plentiful enough that it will take most people 50+ hours to get it all done. I thought I'd put maybe a dozen hours into the game, but I'm over 100 now.... The carrot that they dangled kept me going and having fun along the way.

I'm over 350 hours in lmao


I may need to change my priorities

I've got an extra Wolfpack BP if anyone is looking. Side note to all you guys in friendly lobbies: Matriarch lobbies still aren't safe. Got ratted twice and killed 3 other prospective rats today solely on those lobbies. I haven't experienced a rat in prob 50 or so hours of play until I decided I wanted to bag a Matriarch and got in those lobbies.

My last several Matriarch and queen lobbies have been a damn dance party lol sorry you're dealing with jack asses

Yeah, I'm not sweating it; it adds to the fun of this game. I can appreciate not fully trusting the random raider whom I stumble upon in any given server. It was just more punitive on a Matriarch server coming topside with like 3 Wolfpacks, 3 Deadlines, and another dozen or so of decent carry-ables prepped to take her out on my own if need be. You go in to those games with a loaded stash in Speranza and a couple of rats getting you later, you're fresh out. It's crazy how quick you can spend a full stash.

Hypothetical scenario:

You just opened one of the purple doors (ie., Town Hall key door), block the door upon entry, and proceed to start looting when another player enters and without saying a word starts looting. He actually sprints to the top floor lockers and starts where the gun case usually spawns.

Do you: (1) shoot first; (2) tell him this is your loot and to gtfo; (3) let him go about his business and try to loot more than him?

I will always choose #1 to keep the advantage on my side. If you alert him, you lose an advantage and put them on edge. If you do nothing, not only is your key rendered worthless, there's no guarantee the thief won't just shoot you in the back.

What's your take?

Yeah, I'm cool with killing key room scavengers, especially when they immediately go for the gun cases and lockers. It's hard enough being the first person there in most games, especially green-level key rooms, that when I finally am the lucky guy to get there first, there's no way I'm sharing.

I had this happen on time in medical research on Stella and literally four dudes came in so if I opened fire I was a dead man.

Instead I yelled out "YUP THIS IS A SOCIALIST KEY ROOM HELP YOURSELVES"

If I'm really serious about being left alone, I'll bring a barricade and mines with me. I'll rig the door and set the mines and call out "I'm already looting in here" if I hear anybody trying to breach.

Whatever happens after that is up to them.
