Ha- funny enough I actually live in Tahitian. Just from La Grange and have some property there and that's where I record my rainfall.

To be fair, most of us in southeast and east Texas are tired of the rain and would gladly share. It's almost impossible to keep up with mowing the yard the last month. It's getting leggy and thinning with all the rain while still growing in hyper drive.

But that's the reality of where we all chose to live. My area gets 55" of rain on average and this is more than normal, but not surprising. We had a longer cycle of drought and extreme heat the last decade or so that's made us forget what normal is. No different than those west of 35 begging for rain. It's an arid environment and all the population growth there has made it worse. If you have to beg for a hurricane every year it's probably not sustainable. Just like draining rice patties probably isn't the best idea for houses.

Real turd floater in north SA this early evening. Looks like folks north and west have gotten some real good rain today based on radar, and would appear the Edwards is going to get some fill.

Map looks like area west of San Antone is finally getting wet.

God I love this! No pictures of rain yet but it has to be coming down around Concan - which needs runoff rain in the worst way possible

Looks like it is falling right where we need it.

my sister just told me that someone told her they had 5" very close to Garner........hope it keeps coming!!

We're about a mile from there so that would be good. Although 5" in a short period up there is potentially significant flooding and damage… I don't want that

Just FYI, I posted it on another thread, but I haven't seen it posted here. Good source for rain/river/lake data is the Texas Meso Net site from TWDB - https://www.texmesonet.org/ As you zoom in, more stations will show up.

Dad is in Rocksprings off 377 and has recorded over 8" from yesterday through today

So lake Travis is at 634 ft +/-… wonder how high all this rain will bring Travis too? Just curious
