You can use the Montana fish and game app to see if you have a license. If electronic option was selected it will show up there. You can also have the license emailed to you through the app which will show paper licenses. I got a copy of the combo license through email.
Or sign on to the license purchase website and at the very bottom there is a View Items held tab. It would show there too.

My daughter & I both confirmed with Big Game Combo tags in Montana for 24. Well see how much trouble we get in if we end up with Wyoming tags as well.

Hunting big game out west was fun while you could do it.

I'm waiting for the first lawsuit on the resident / non-resident restrictions.

If the animals belong to the people and most of the public land belongs to the feds, is it correct for the states to manage it only for their residents?

I know the pain of striking out, it sucks.

But this is my second year of not even being able to play the game. That has been worse, somehow.

Hoping to live vicariously through those of you getting to chase furry critters in amazing places!

The buddy I coordinated with struck out as well. Not a party application. Just both individually applied for the same units.

A colleague of mine at work struck out, but his dad, two brothers, and a cousin all drew various tags. He's pretty jalapeño'd. His wife is happy though. They're expecting their firstborn in October. She let him apply but was hoping and praying he wouldn't draw. He's pretty well convinced his hunting life is over at this point. I went ahead and let him know that it is for a few years...

A buddy drew G12 for mountain goat in Colorado, where I hunted in 2021. So of course his first call was to me and if I can get healthy, I'm going back to the high and rugged.






Toughest hunt I've ever done. Not scared to admit I'm a little intimidated to be going back.

I hope you get healthy. Awesome pics and congrats on the Goat. I've been on a couple goat hunts in Canada and sheep hunts in AK, they are definitely not easy! Have fun with your buddy. Great memories come from these types of trips.

I got my preference point notification this morning and for a second I got excited. I forgot all I did was PP applications this year…

Sorry to hear about you not getting tag. I'm probably staying home this year unless I get a last second call from ranch in CO.
