Bad News: theyve only opened 10% of the closed terrain over those same 2 weeks for a total of just over 28%. Meanwhile Solitude, Alta, SB have gone from 20% to 42%, 31% to 70%, and 41% to 84% open. You can't tell me the strike and only staffing 30-35 for mountain OPS isn't hurting their rope drops. The Numbers of the surrounding hills speak for themselves. Snow falling is one thing, creating a base and opening runs are quite different and the longer the snow rots the less stable the base will be. So they got one part of the equation over the last 14 now they need the solve the other half.

100%. My comment was assuming the strike doesn't last until mid March. I mean ski patrol doesn't want this to go to the end of the season. They lose all leverage after spring break.

Steamboat got 7 mid mountain and 15 at the summit in the last 24 hours.

Yeah Man. Thats easy. I talk to them all the time. I have guests that have come in for years and theyve FaceTimed me off my homies phones to be like hey what do you recommend because we remember two years that you said he was an idiot. I've died laughing. There some characters that come through. It could be a reality TV.

There are a lot of good places for apre and beers in steamboat, but I would be remiss if I didn't recommend Wynona's for breakfast one day. Or at least send someone to Wynona's to pick up a cinnamon roll one morning.

Wynonas is really good. We go to the Egg alot because we can walk there from where our company puts us up when were in town. The new owners are locals and sper sweet and I've always had a good experience. It's not crazy mountain town priced either. I think they deliver too.

Seedz is another good spot

Oh almost forgot, on pretty much the exact opposite end of the spectrum from my first suggestion is sunpies, a fun dive bar that a lot of locals frequent. I had some good nights in there ~ a decade ago.

Oak Creek Tavern in Oak Creek is a place I've spent many nights I don't remember but didn't end up in jail. CHEAP drinks. It reminds me alot of Magustos in Minturn. It's a fun place small town local dive bar.
