I saw my first four snakes of 2025 today. Somehow I end up being the neighborhood handyman. I was helping a neighbor winterize a backflow valve under a fake rock. 4 small snakes underneath.

And I'm a failure. I didn't get a pic. But I believe rough earth snakes

#2 - this one was quick into the thick brush. Photos not great. It went into a hole when I caught up to it.
