Agreed, I think we are at the Apex of the consumer market, and all people can do is say look at my shiny wheel we remade. Can't say I blame them and I wish I could do something but I can't so hats off to them.
I mean the only thing I could think of would be like what has already been done, cartridge-less like the G3 (I think that was it?). Or items like more affordable NV, thermals, etc.
Hell, even group folks together and tackle laws like SBR's and suppressors. Now's as good as a time as any.
ETA: I'm still interested in it all, so hopefully as the week progresses we hear about more and more stuff
Agree with this.
We were talking about tbis on another board recently. The fact of the matter is that we are at a plateau in terms of what we can do with firearms currently. Everything "new" is a function of a new material, 3d printing or an angle change on a cartridge shoulder proclaiming it a leap in technology when it really isnt.
Until there is a true quantum leap in technology that deviates fom the basics of what firesrms are today, we will continue to see a flatline on truly new things.
I would like to see the industry focus on repeal of the NFA and continue to see suppressor design evolve and costs come down. Would also love to see things like thermal continue to advance in tech while costs find a way to come down.
I have very little interest in a new caliber, but a lot of interest in making the firearms i do own better.
