Interested in OB thoughts on the new Taurus GX2. I currently carry the P365x but am interested in grabbing one of these as an extra as it is only $250.

I am NOT trying to cast dispersions at an inexpensive gun......But, you might want to wait until someone you respect does a review of one first & 50rds at an indoor range is not a review.

I'd want to know what its doing at 500rds, then 1000.

Eye Guy commented in the past that Taurus has significantly improved their performance. Here is one of several positive reviews

In a world of police trade in Glocks and M&Ps for $350 and under, I see zero reason to try and save money by purchasing a Taurus.

Be a fine truck gun. Is it a gun you would really want to carry and potentially trust your life with?

Just say no to truck guns, God, PLEASE.

A massive number of firearms used by bad guys are stolen out of vehicles.

In 2022 there were over 4,000 guns stolen from vehicles in Houston alone.

I would bet less than half of 1 percent. They don't need Houston Taurus truck guns when the US gov supplies them the finest BMG's money can buy.

I absolutely agree with this and I do not leave firearms in my truck overnight. I actually recently got into a disagreement with a colleague on this topic. He was upset that his pistol was stolen from his truck at his gated residence. His angle was that he should be free to leave his firearm in the truck on his own property, which I understand. My opinion is that responsible gun ownership means being responsible for the firearm at all times.

This times 1,000,000,000

It's the old 'you get what you pay for' argument.

I have seen WAY too many problems in general with Taurus over the years to trust anything new. They made two really good guns in the past. The original all steel Taurus 85 can be as good as a Smith and the 92 clones from the 80's-90s were also very good guns. But those were still less consistent than desired and have both been out of production for 25 plus years. If you find a good one of those then great. Otherwise buy a used Glock. I saw a Gen 3 .40 cal go for $300 OBO the other day. I'd have bought it if he had been closer to me,
