9mm pccs are one of my favorite niches. I used to own a keltec sub2k, and a cz scorpion. Ive shot AR9s, ruger pc chargers, and most other 9mm carbine options out there.

The direct blowback 9mms are by nature harder recoiling than you'd expect if you've never shot one. The weight required in the bolt to make that system work means an AR9 tends to have recoil similar to or worse than a 5.56 AR.

The roller delayed blowback of the MP5 system means the bolts do not have to be nearly as heavy. (9 oz vz 15 oz or so iirc). In contrast to direct blowback 9mms, roller delayed 9mms are insanely light recoiling guns. If you've never shot one you really need to try it out.

Schmelba is right to proclaim the MP5 king. Nothing has truly dethroned it yet, even 60 years later. The first centerfire my kids will shoot will be an MP5 clone.

The German Gucci H&K guns are $$$, but the turkish made clones are solid shooters and in line with the prices of the guns OP was looking at.

They really are just that much better.

(To the guy who mentioned the Flux Raider, those are outstanding bag guns).

My new favorite is a CMMG Banshee radial delayed blowback. A soft shooter, uses a standard lower with proprietary mags, or most 9mm lowers, standard carbine buffer and spring. I am using an amnesty lower with a CMC trigger

I too had an itch for one for years. But every time I picked one up my 6 ft 2 frame with my Associated long arms made shouldering one very awkward. That was until I found the Smith & Wesson fpc. It is the only carbine that is comfortable for me to shoulder.
When the truth comes out, do not ask me how I knew.
Ask yourself why you did not.
