Currently we have the Livescope mounted on the trolling motor but I'd like to have it separately mounted. I'd prefer it not always looking where the trolling motor is looking. Any of yall have it mounted this way? If so, which mount do you recommend?

I have a machine shop… thinking of making these things on the side! (But the market might already be flooded)

I installed this on my bass boat. I like it. There are some electric motor options from other companies but this worked for me. I just didn't want another drain on my battery. Only real drawback is you can only really turn it about 90 degrees in either direction because you just can't reach out either the handle.

I made a homemade livescope transducer mount similar to the one on the attached youtube video. Mine is made with pvc pipe and works OK. I would agree that if you are fishing brush piles for crappie and use a trolling motor with spot lock, you definitely need the livescope stationary or movable where you want it, independently from the back and forth movement of the trolling motor while in spot lock mode.

Since you have a machine shop, I am sure you could do better than my efforts. I have been looking at several models available commercially, but havent found a particular design I was willing to pay the high cost. If you come up with a better design, I might be interested in checking yours out.

There are a lot of brands. Lots of our customers use the ones made by Beatdown Outdoors.

I am good friends with the G3 rep in the area. I'll contact him next week and see what he says. Some guys I know with glass bass boats use the break away model. I have not used one as I don't have a ffs.
It may take a day or two to get a call back from him…
