This breaks me. No clue why but I'm a young husband with no kids but it's hit me hard. I've been praying for all of you in here who know children and families personally affected with girls at Camp Mystic or staff members. We are acquaintances with Margaret Sheedy's extended family and have just been praying without ceasing.

I've helped after Harvey, Ike, and Allison, but for some reason this hits me harder emotionally. Perhaps it's my personal memories in Hunt/Ingram/Kerrville, or the fact I know so many people who have attended those camps and grown closer to Christ, or just that I hope to be a father someday. That said, these updates and posts are what makes Texas the best state in the union.

This poor guy having to filibuster this delay is rough.

I was a counselor at La Junta back in the early 00s. Unbelievable. Looks like David Domingue is still working and it's unthinkable a guy that has worked out there for 50+ years lost the whole horse herd. That guy was incredibly sharp and nothing on that camp happened he didn't know about. Just the fact that that happened tells me it was literally beyond belief.

Nothing removes the memory, but the brain can experience healing and the accompanying emotions can be deescalated in time.
