Don't focus on the presser…focus on the resources being deployed…

For better or worse, the families who need the info will get it before a presser…and that's how it should be…

The public demands such…

But the info the victims' families truly need will be passed to them before a presser if everyone is doing their jobs correctly…

Probably the nonelected officials job to give the actual updates.

At the presser this morning, one of the city of county officials (blue fishing shirt and khaki hat; I don't remember what his position was) was very adamant that they would not be releasing specifics about those who are missing.

IIRC, he said he said he "absolutely not" would be releasing names of those who had been found, deceased or not, and that because of the transient (my word, not his) nature of those who were on the river (RVs, vacation homes), they really didn't know who or how many were even missing.

All that to say…I don't think press conferences are going to be the place to get info about who is missing.

Finally, the journos drag some info out of them.

I think they just said that 3 children are unidentified.

Well, let's hope they find a lot of people alive.
