Was Cord the guy who put out the info about two girls being found that got picked up by the local newspaper or was that someone else?
He just passed the news along like others is what I recall.
Edit: I'm trying to find his feed to verify the facts, but I recall him saying he was getting word of 2 girls 6 miles away. Just want to be sure we are using facts.

Bellville is wrapped in green bows all over town. Praying they find Virginia and everyone else ASAP.
Bunker Branding in Boerne was, I am not sure if they still are. It is an Aggie owned business (former youtuber and Aggie, Matt Carriker aka Demolition Ranch started it, and now co-owns it with a couple other big youtubers, Roman Atwood and The Fat Electrician). They are also doing a t-shirt with 100% of proceeds going to recovery efforts.AgsMyDude said:
I'm in North San Antonio/Bulverde and would like to donate supplies. Anyone know of a reputable group making runs?
Cord Shiflet did say he heard two girls were found alive in a Live FB feed. He was live on site helping the recovery efforts.Scotty88 said:
I'm here in Kerrville. CAMP CAMP is one of our clients. They do need help.
That Cord guy was saying two girls were found alive….he is cancelled in my mind. I wouldn't give him any money.
Contact Camp Camp directly or give to Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country. Ir is a reputable 501 c 3. That has a Flood account where money will get where it needs to go.

I would suggest holding off a week or two. We have a cargo trailer full of supplies we are planning on taking tomorrow, and are finding that most places are at capacity. We're still talking to a couple places to verify if they have room. I would assume as time goes on though supplies will diminish and less supplies will be coming in. That might be a great time to resupply them.
I'm not saying don't do it, but check with a location first and veify they can take it, before you drive supplies up there.

Texags at its finest
He very well could be a great person, I had no knowledge of him before this thread. That said, his approach to raising funds seems off. Sending money to a personal Zelle account, sending checks to his house, or bringing in cash to be put into a bag are all red flags. Heck the bag of cash thing seems like a bad thing to announce for security reasons. If he is really the most productive real estate agent for the last 20 years in Austin (per his claim via an online search) then I feel like he should have a better understanding of the need for security and documentation of large sums of funds.Mr.Short-termMemory said:Cord Shiflet did say he heard two girls were found alive in a Live FB feed. He did another video Sunday evening explaining he heard the girls were found from two DPS troopers and a Kerr County official. That is why Cord was saying it, repeating what he was told.
I don't know whether he is reputable or not, but it does sound at least like he's trying to do what he can to help the flood recovery efforts.

So Mary Grace's parents want us to put a pink ribbon on a tree in our front yard in honor of her. Act accordingly.

Yup. I highlighted them a few posts up, they are accepting donations and have a t-shirt with 100% of proceeds going to recovery.Sully said:AgsMyDude said:

Bunker Branding...Matt Carriker's company. Exceptional team and he's an Aggie.

Made a post yesterday a few pages back but the most effective donations are financial ones to reputable organizations. The donation centers in Kerrville and Ingram are at capacity and will put out notice when it is time to restock. Was told Kerrville Chamber of Commerce was trying to acquire a warehouse to take more goods on.AgsMyDude said:

Also, I've been asked by colleagues, etc how to help and say the best thing to do is reach out to me in a month or 3 and I'll let you know. People rightfully want to help right away, but sometimes it can be better served after the initial push it does become a valley. This also goes for those family members who are grieving.SB IV said:Made a post yesterday a few pages back but the most effective donations are financial ones to reputable organizations.
