I don't see how anyone can possibly claim to be a hunter without 6.5x, 10x, 15x full size, and 8x compact binocs at their disposal, at the absolute minimum. Caladan just about had me adding compact 6.5x to the quiver the other day too

Ugh. Thanks. These are a gift for my father in law who I recently learned is using some 15x58 minox I gave him several years back (for a mulie hunt) as his everyday/truck binocs...and he doesn't live out west. So I wanted to get him a more appropriate truck bin. Razor it is. Tis the season!

I think either bino will provide a great improvement in the quality of the view. I've never seen a Minox bino that had a view that was worth its price.

Since your bino choice is for someone that is probably older than you, I would recommend getting the one that has the longest eye relief. Original and 2nd-gen Razors had very good ER, so hopefully the current ones do as well.

I appreciate that you make know that it depends on the person. I am one of those people. I don't care for 700 dollar a bottle bourbon, it tastes the same as Makers. Likewise, I have looked through $800 leupold scopes at dusk and also VX Freedom and there isn't a planet in the universe where I would spend more than 350 for a scope. I don't see any difference and I just cannot appreciate the difference in cost. The older I get, the less I care. I'm still rocking Weaver K4 on a couple rifles and compared to my VX3, the aren't as good but they aren't so far off that I'm going to replace them.

It really does depend on the person.

With all due respect, there are many bourbons better than Makers and almost all of them don't cost anything near $700.

I wouldn't say makers is my favorite bourbon, but damn if I don't like it.
