Some of those are still made in Germany some in China but the value and quality all dropped once they sold to Frost. The pricing is going to depend on when they were made.
To add to the confusion some dealers, like AG Russell here in Arkansas, still have new in box pre-1980 Hen and Rooster knives for sale. That is why you can search online and see the same model for sale for $250 or $50 with some of those brands.
Well, that sucks. How could I tell the difference, by labels?
