I was driving back from Dallas on I45 south of Corisicana near Richland Chambers Lake when I saw a green streak race down about 4:40PM that looked like it hit the ground!
Did anyone else see it? And if so where did it hit?

I did not but I saw almost the exact same thing several months ago in Dallas. It was massive and bright and it flew across the sky and looked like it landed somewhere off in the distance. Never seen anything like it. It gave me chills.

At first I thought has Iran snuck a missile into Texas, but then I was no that's a falling star in the middle of the day

The one I saw was at night but it was absolutely insane. I tried searching on the internet for "Dallas comet or meteor" but never found anything.

It was impressive for sure. Wish I had a dash cam!

I saw it driving north from Lake Jackson to Houston.

News is saying a meteorite and it crashed through someone's roof.

Dang, I called my mom and sister 30 secs after I saw it and they didn't report seeing or hearing anything. I told them I bet someone has that on video! Checked the NASA website and nothing.

Lots of reports in the Katy area of hearing "booms" and other noises. Seen some dashcam type footage….also seen plenty of AI stuff.

Apparently there was one earlier in the day that rattled our house in Bridgeland/Cypress this afternoon, around 2 o'clock.

I wonder what the value is on a video recorded meteorite. Sure, the size probably matters but still curious!

"And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves, people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near."

I'm not sure one meteorite fits the bill.

Or, it was just a meteorite that happens all the time.

I have no idea how I didn't hear this yesterday. I was out back working on my pool and live in Imperial Oaks. I am so disappointed.

There have been several reports of this happening in the last couple weeks. Maybe we're closer to meteor field right now.

About 10 years ago I was driving between Winnie and High Island about 6 a.m. headed South toward the gulf. There was green light that changed to orange as it got closer to the horizon, then disappeared. 99% sure it was a meteor. Never seen anything like it before or since.

To be fair, you are 93,000,000,000 miles away.

I think I saw the same one. Was heading down Hardy to downtown and it was storming like a mofo up here. The sky turned bright green and I heard a boom that sounded like it was behind me (north). About 15 seconds later the radio guys freaked out and people were calling in about it.

Couldn't this one be a transformer getting hit by lightning?

Might want to check that math.

It was my understanding there would be no math.

Could have except it was confirmed by NASA with the debris field from Conroe on to the north.

He was probably still south of Highway 6 if he was actually driving.

4:30 on a Saturday afternoon isn't too bad there.

Must have been a Longhorn engineer though who decided it was a good idea for a 2 lane on ramp to merge to one and then merge that into the 2 lane highway. They gotta expand that to 4 wide from 6 north to the toll road entrance.

Once you hit the toll road though you can blow past the peasants in the main lanes.
