Although I don't agree with some of the findings here, the premise is sound. Not all burgers are comparable given the genres and types. Kudos to Orlando for this methodology.

See, the bread at Washbanger's is a big part of what makes it, for me. I love a slightly sweet bun. The meat is great too. They use meat from 44 Farms, I believe.

Forgot about Washbangers. A very very good burger.

Disappointed that Top of The Hill got rid of the CFS fries and the cheese fries were some of the worst I have ever had. But the burger once again spot on.

Sonic's new "groovy" fries are terrible!

Go to any Whataburger and kiss the floor and then order a mctripple but then add 2-3 extra additional patties and ask for 6 slices of cheese total. Get the diced onions and the grilled onions and make them loaded and have it half mustard but full mayo for that ultimate cheeseborger flare. You are welcome and keep 911 close.

went to Koppe Bridge after the game Saturday. I understand it was following a game and the line was out the door but they substituted quantity over quality that day. I ordered two burger baskets and literally 2 minutes after ordering my name was being called. I thought it was a mistake, nope it was my order. The patty was cool at best, the bun was cold and hard. I was going to say something but if they're willing to serve food in this condition, they dont care.
Again I understand trying to get food out ASAP but when the quality suffers to this degree and paying those kind of prices for a burger, I would hope they would value their product a little bit more than they did on Saturday. But they didnt, and they made a fortune that day. Lesson Learned.

Unfortunately the rate places are closing, go ahead and enjoy them all now, because one maybe two of them will soon close.

Carney's burger is very good. They make their fries fresh cut every day.

Used to eat there whenever we went thru Bastrop. Love the shakes as well.

We went to Koppe Bridge on Hwy. 30 today for the first time in 4 or 5 years and were pleasantly surprised. Burger was excellent and the fries were thinner and crispier than they used to be. Not soggy at all. Thumbs up!

Good to hear. Last time I visited a few years ago the bun was cold and the cheese near frozen.

Chicken Oil/The Chicken were better back in the day. Loved the patty melt! Tijuana fries saving grace.

Wife loves Grub. I got burned out on it a while back. She wanted the guacapotle constantly when pregnant with our youngest.

They share a name they share a blame

The double cheeseburger at Mooyah is very good. As a burger and fries combo Mooyah is really underrated

I always felt like it was too much work to order the burger I wanted at Sonic since their standard condiments were not to my liking. Plus the fries were bad so I always ordered tater tots. The wife likes Sonic so we would eat there from time to time. The groovy fries are better so I'm more of a fan.

Washbangers is my fav place at this time for a good burger. I live south of CS and also like Margie's but don't go there bc whenever I drive to Bryan I hit other places I like more such as Longhorn Tavern or Hermana Marques(Mi Poblito I think on GPS).

Also like Joe's Place but location wise I don't get out there very often.

I really can't do the old traditional burgers with wide dry mrs. Bairds type buns anymore. Boring and tasteless.
