We have a handful in Wellborn but haven't seen more than two at the same time yet.

I've been seeing them daily in Oakmont for the last week

Was just having a post yardwork cocktail on the porch and two of them were fighting and literally flew right into me, spilling my drink. I had just cleaned and refreshed the feeders an hour ago. Mean little critters!

Yeah, my feeders have guardians or whatever you call them messing with others that show up.

Last week a couple of them were fighting and they went to the ground. I had to step in to help.

I'm like, hey guys, there's plenty for everyone.

The rain last week really brought them in south of Wellborn. Glad to finally have a decent group!

Trying to figure out the different species here now. It seems some are much louder with their song beats than others.

quite a few around the 47 area. They are some chatty birds when they buzz you.
Walk softly and carry a big stick! Make sure the big stick makes big boom noises and flashy bright lights.

I went from 3 or 4 to 10-15 over night after the last rains.

Chickadees are raiding the hummingbird feeders. Is this normal or is the heat making them crazy?

Any still around or did the heat push them out? Noticed my feeders haven't been touched and I was filling every few days.

I think the migration has moved on. I still have a few stragglers / locals but nothing like the last couple weeks.

They've all but disappeared at our house.

It seems like they hung around longer the past few years.

Mine are gone. It was crazy for a week or so though!

Still getting 1 or 2 stragglers per day. So, leaving food out one more week.

Is anyone seeing more hummingbirds? My wife saw 6 in our back yard at one time this week.

We had a few stay over the summer, but last week really picked up. My wife put all of our feeders back out last week. We have around 10 to 15 buzzing around every day now.

Yes! Ive had at least 3 show back up. I put a couple feeders back out, but they are mainly feeding off flowers.

I put out a feeder about a month ago bc I went to class that informed me some birds never leave. And yes, I had 2-3 feed right away. Then two weeks later added another feeder. And now have 3 feeders out so they are not fighting over it. Now I have several birds here. Well over 10 and more. Constantly feeding throughout the day.

All my feeders have the red ant moats that look like a tulip. Both Tufted Titmouse and Chickadees like drinking out of them more than my birdbaths. Just a nice added bonus to the hummingbirds.

We probably have 40 hummingbirds buzzing around our back yard the past few days.

Put a feeder out last week for 2. Now I have 2 feeders and around 8 hummingbirds. Numbers increased the last couple days. Odd for August...must be the rain!!

Glad to hear! Nice to get some good news for a change. Putting the feeders back up!

We have a steady stream of hummers at our feeder for the last few weeks. I never remember this much activity in August. It's been a great summer weatherwise!

PSA: if you haven't used your feeders in awhile, wash and scrape any of that black mold off them that forms from the sugar. It can make the hummingbirds very sick.

Constant activity over by Lick Creek, had up to 15 or so at once for a while.

I have two feeders out and they are swarming. On one I had six birds at once drinking. Every "flower" was taken. This is the most traffic we've seen in a few years. Near Wellborn.

We have 30ish drinking out of 4 feeders. Needing to refill almost twice a day. Best time of year to porch sit and watch!

I'm in Cypress, but thought I would share with y'all.

Albino hummingbird is in our neighborhood. I haven't seen it yet, but that's pretty rare IMO.
