South Texas too. Saw some buzzing around our esperanza blooms. We put a couple of feeders out and instantly had at least 10 or so jockeying for position.

I've had a few hummingbirds stay all summer, but in the last couple of weeks, we've gotten a lot more. I included a male and female painted bunting. They've been here for about a month. I have also seen a male and female Baltimore oriole, but I was only able to get the female's picture.

I've seen 3 ruby throats and a pair (one with way less coloring, almost gray like a dove?) of black chinned hummers so far in the last week at my parents place in Milam county.

They are late this year, but they're coming!

The migration was pretty light this year. We had a few transients for a couple weeks but I am back to just seeing one or two a day now. Probably going to put the feeder up for the season because we have plenty of stuff in the landscaping for the locals to eat.

Hopefully we'll have a bigger migration in the fall!

Was told by someone in the know that they had all moved on. But I've been seeing quite a few buzzing the porterweed flowers in my front yard.

Made me wonder of different species have different migration patterns (I know, duh)?

I've got over a dozen on three feeders E of Bryan. Started with one feeder last week and had a bird on it within 5 minutes. I put another up that day or the next. Then a third feeder this morning. They drained one feeder completely today after I filled it this morning.

This is our first year outside of town. I only ever got a couple in town.
