I'm excited to try both of these new places. We eat at Wings N More pretty much weekly. While I definitely admit they've got some room for improvement, it's become a routine for us. The 21 location is by far the best and most consistent.

I debated on posting this. We ate at Anchor Bar during the football game Saturday. I feel the prices are a little high for what I spend on a regular dinner. I'm a drinker, so I pay attention to drink prices (I'm a big happy hour person). Most drinks were $10-$11 starting. I ordered a High Noon to start and it was $6.75. Other places it is $5 - $5.75 (prices weren't on the menu). I did have an choclate martini as well, and I knew what that price was going in. Spending $16 starting point for an entree is more than I prefer. My mom and I ended up splitting something (which is what we do often). I didn't have the wings, so I cannot comment on those, but $16 for 10 wings, then $4 for a side of fries just seems high to me.

But to say this, I do not eat much at a sitting. Generally 1-2 drinks and a small appetizer is all I need.

The food and service was good. It was our waiters 2nd table ever and he did a good job.

I absolutely love wings. But now I just cook them myself.

10 or 20 (cant remember the weight) pound bag at Costco for roughly $20.

Thaw them and cook them at 390 in my air fryer for about 30-35 minutes. I get the perfect wings now. Add whatever wing sauce you want.

My family devours them.

Same. These restaurant prices are ridiculous.

Does anyone know if the Anchor bar patio is open and full service? Thinking of taking the doggo for lunch Sunday.

We went on Monday and I didn't notice a patio.

I went ahead and called for you and they don't have a patio.

Thanks! That is disappointing as their website lists a puppy menu.

No idea on the live music Maroon.

The wnm express locations are the best - wings come out right away versus just sitting for a bit.

Carneys Wings are underrated. Big and tasty. You can request having them extra fried if you want. I also like their fries. Great place.

We ate at the anchor bar for lunch Friday. Sat at the bar and had a 10 piece with fries. I will admit they are bigger than WnM. But lacked in flavor. The atmosphere and the service was great. I prefer WnM sauce and the elephant texture. Will try again

Plucker's is the most overrated wings place in the country. Big and soggy. Hardly worth the price.

Some of the appetizers are good but their wings are just plain bad.

little early to be comparing these 3. Pluckers and Anchor Bar just getting started.

Had Wings N More Express yesterday afternoon. Always impressed at just how efficiently they handle a long line. I'd say it was less than 10 minutes between turning off 21 and having our food in hand.

Trying Pluckers for lunch tomorrow.

Pluckers is great.

Went for lunch today with some guys from work. Straight to a table at 11:30. Service was fine, although a little slow. I ordered the garlic sriracha and baker's gold wings with the 8 piece lunch combo. There was a mix up with the orders amongst our table, but we didn't realize it until I'd bit into another guy's Cajun dry rub. That was the best wing I've ever had. The ones I'd ordered were good, too, but just not really the flavor I like.

The 8 piece wing was probably comparable to 12 Wings N More wings. $15 for a lunch combo is as much as I'd want to spend, but not unreasonable. It won't replace Wings N More as an almost weekly staple in our household.

And none other than Mark Dennard himself (owner of Wings N More) came in and sat down two tables over from us. Scoping out the competition, I guess.

Alright, I'm adding to my previous reply after going to pluckers again yesterday and it not being paid for by a client...

This place is too damn expensive. I got the $15 dollar 8 wing lunch combo. Cajun had great flavor, but were a little overcooked. Spicy lemon pepper was good. Service was much faster than my experience last week.

Then I got my bill. The combo does not include a drink. A Dr. Pepper was $3.79, bringing my total before tip to over $20. After tip, I was between $24-25. That's ridiculous for lunch. I'll go drive through Wings N More Express and get a 10 wing combo WITH DRINK for $12-13.

WNM 10-wing combo has been $15.10 after tax for a year or two.

We went to Anchor Bar this weekend and liked the atmosphere much better than Pluckers. The wings were perfect, and the pizza was delicious.

Had Anchor today and it is another great option. Split 10 wings and 3 pizza logs and a fries basket. Service was quick but we had to repeat almost everything twice, our waiter seemed a bit hung over or tired. Got mango habenero and spicy garlic wings. They are smaller than pluckers but larger than wnm. Cooked perfectly. Blue cheese is not as good as wnm. The pizza logs were tasty but not as crispy as I would like.

Looking forward to trying a pizza next, they look good.

I still prefer pluckers for wings but Anchor has more bar options.

My husband and I tried Anchor Bar for the for time today. Each of us had the 10 piece traditional wings. He had the medium buffalo. I had the Spicy BBQ and Buffalo Lemon Pepper. A side of fries were extra. We each ordered them with dry rub on both (I had Cajun, he had Buffalo Ranch). The wings were good. I enjoyed both sauces. The fries were just OK. But the serving size was large, so it can definitely be shared between 2 people. As typical, a small up charge for all flats, but no charge for 'extra saucy.'

Although more expensive, I liked the wings better than WnM. I've only had the buffalo bites at Pluckers, but my husband liked Anchor Bar wings better.

The vibe was definitely different than Pluckers. Not as loud. More laid back. Good-sized bar and draft beer selection.

I'll keep all 3 in my rotation (as well as BWW). It's great to have options.

We went to Wings and More at Texas and Deacon on Friday night. Learned from the waiter and manager that they changed distributors because the mixed vegetables are completely different (no more green beans, zucchini, squash, and carrots). I believe it was parsnips, sweet potatoes, and some other stuff. My wife normally gets the marinated chicken breast with the veggies. We specifically went to WnM because they have veggies. When looking at the menus for Pluckers and Anchor it doesn't appear they have any vegetables other than salad.

The manager did let us know they are keeping track of complaints. We made the suggestion that we would pay an extra dollar for premium sides if they offered actual vegetables.

Does anyone have suggestions where I can get wings but the wife can get veggies?

Attempted Pluckers for the first time tonight. Walked in, put our name on the list, then decided to leave. WAY too loud. Total sensory overload. Maybe it's not usually like this but if it is, I don't think we'll be going back. I guess it's a sports-themed place, which is fine, but it was way too much tonight.

I'm confused. Is the issue that she doesn't like the new veggie option? Parsnips, sweet potatoes, and ' some other stuff' doesn't sound too bad to me. They are actual vegetables.

I don't know of any other place that has both wings and vegies. However, the best kept veggie secret is the sauted veggies (instead of rice and beans, for an extra $0.60) at Gringos.

ok...read that again.

I've been there on a weekday at 5pm and there was nobody in there. Again, there's a difference between weekend football games and normal activity. If you go during a game, expect it to be loud. That's why they have big screen TVs everywhere. Most people are there for the games and those people will spend money on food and alcohol.
