Went a couple weeks ago. Service was good. Wing quality was much better than WnM, not even close. Flavor was fine. Pissed me off no end that they offer the seasoning on the fries then charge you an extra dollar for it. Why are you charging me a dollar to sprinkle some flavored salt on my fries? It's ridiculous. At least be up front and tell me it cost extra. Beers were cold. The ten wing basket was about $17 and does not include fries. To have fries with it is an extra $4.

I got the roast beef sandwich thing because it comes with five wings and french fries and I really wanted to try the wings. This was about $18. Also got two beers. Total bill was over $30 and with a tip almost $40.

The night I went it was dead. There were maybe 3-4 other tables filled in the restaurant.

I can get ten wings with fries for about $14 at WnM. Despite the fact I generally get 1-2 wings from WnM that they should be ashamed of serving a customer, I'll continue to take my regular business to WnM.

Placed a carryout order at Anchor Bar for the first time last night. Got the Roast Beef sandwich and mango habanero wings. The sandwich was great and the kimmelweck roll with the seasoning on top was fantastic. Wings were also really good, miles ahead of WnM.

After one visit to Anchor Bar and one to Pluckers, my ranking would be Anchor-Pluckers-WnM. I consistently get bad food from the WnM on Deacon but it's the wife's favorite. The last two times she's even admitted that it hasn't been good so hopefully she's coming around.

I don't live in BCS anymore but I really thought the WnM Express by the Walmart in Bryan on 2818 was superior to all the sit down restaurants. I'll need to give Anchor a chance next time I visit.

Correct answer on wnm - hands down the best one. Even though cs locations are closer - we drive the extra distance/time to go here. Everyone in our group agrees this is the best one, hands down.

WNM wings are fine, but Pluckers wings are better…the size of Pluckers wings are much larger, and their sauces are better…not even close.

We use the Wings n More Express on 21 and it's the best, hands down. Amazing how they move all those cars through the line so quickly.

Plucker's is not necessarily better, just different. Same with Anchor Bar. I think Wings n More is still the best value. We also like BWW and Wing Stop.

Fair…I think there is more bang for your buck at Pluckers.

Friend of mine sent me a pic from Anchor of (gasp) "vegan wings."

Seems like that would disqualify them with this board on every dimension.

Also, I recall Dufflepud had a great idea for a wings/tenders franchise. Alas it seemed to ruffle some feathers.

Alright, I'm adding to my previous reply after going to pluckers again yesterday and it not being paid for by a client...

This place is too damn expensive. I got the $15 dollar 8 wing lunch combo. Cajun had great flavor, but were a little overcooked. Spicy lemon pepper was good. Service was much faster than my experience last week.

Then I got my bill. The combo does not include a drink. A Dr. Pepper was $3.79, bringing my total before tip to over $20. After tip, I was between $24-25. That's ridiculous for lunch. I'll go drive through Wings N More Express and get a 10 wing combo WITH DRINK for $12-13.

This is what I'm talking about! Thank you!
