I hear RX is good, I haven't personally tried it.
Hungry Howie's is good but inconveniently located for me and I was treated extremely poorly the last time I ordered from them. Manager/owner tried to make it up to me but I just can't...but I can admit it is a good pizza.
I thought Howdy's was pretty good just too far from me.

Depending on where in town you're at, Trackside Kolaches & Pizzarama is good. They're on Holleman S, near the Barracks.

I just passed by Heat Ups and it was dark. Not sure about their hours and haven't tried them yet. Anybody know if they are good?
The closest coal fired place is Grimaldi's Pizzeria in the Woodlands.

Rx. The pizza of the month is "jalapeno popper". olive oil, mozzarella, fresh jalapeno, bacon and pepper jack.
It is tasty. I washed it down with a barrel old fashioned or two last night.

I would've said that until a month or so ago. The sauce tastes awful, probably their own store-brand swill.

Big fan of Trackside.
Part of me hates to spread the word because I fear them becoming wildly popular.
IE, "Nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded".
Part of me is thrilled to see a local small business doing great.
Have always loved the pastries. The pizza is very good. Pepperoni rolls, build your own stuffed rolls, really good.
From what I understand, the folks who own it have an old school Gumby's background. If you loved Gumby's, you will probably really enjoy Trackside.

Another vote for RX. Had it last night as a matter of fact. Sweet Heat is our current favorite.
Rx is good, but its "fancy" pizza. Piasano's left a big hole in town for solid 'za that can be ordered in bulk for the softball team.
Don't @ me with these chain places either. Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, etc are all terrible.

Yep, I also miss it. It was the closest thing to the old pizza I used to eat when I grew up in Western NY. There was a hole in the wall pizza joint on Ferry Ave in Niagara Falls that was the best I have even had. It was owned by three generations of the same family and closed down a couple of years ago after operating for about 70 years.Tim Weaver said:

We went back there a few years ago after being gone from the area for 55 years and the grandson was the owner...same tables, chairs, and interior.
Coworker of mine moved here from Philly. He went everywhere to try and find the best pizza in town and in his opinion it was Champion Pizza.
I still haven't been but I want to try it out. I saw the Barstool guys went there when they were in town for a game.

The take and bake pizzas used to be good, but in the recent place the actual pizza restaurant has been bad.

We love Rough Draught Pizza at Northgate! It's worth paying for parking!
Some non-pizzerias that have good pizza: Napa Flats, Luigi's, Blue Baker. Used to think Fritella but last pizza from them was…not great.

I ordered Crust once thinking they actually were Chicago "tavern style." Not quite alas, but they are good.
