It sure is crashing and booming though.
We've had a decent bit of rain in central Bryan.
We got hit with it in Waco before it made it to BCS. Luckily didn't last long. And it feels amazing outside right now (79)
Seemed like a little more but only a quarter inch in the gauge over by the Bryan Lowe's.

The dome held strong until about 5:30 in south CS. Then a nice steady rain. Got about 0.5" and then a gorgeous rainbow.
That rainbow looks like a dome!
Man, any rain in the area is a good thing; I'll take it. I may not get much but am happy for those who do.

While I would have enjoyed the rain, I am grateful as it has lessened in Friendswood too. It was supposed to be thunderstorms daily this week and now just 2 days. Our church just sent a bunch of highschool kiddos down there for mission and all of the work is outdoors (daughter is one of them)FlyRod said:

Watersmart says I need to water this week. Another week without running the sprinklers would have been great, but ill take some sunshine

Weather app keeps fluctuating between a deluge and sprinkle. Usually that means we get jack squat.
ETA - and "poof" there goes our rain.

Storming hard in Castlegate. Lots of rain, thunder, and lightning. Power has flickered multiple times. More than 2" in my rain gauge so far.

Wow that lightning was unreal.
About an hour ago when the first wave came through we had a tree in our back yard, about 50 yards from the back porch, take a direct hit. Brutally loud, the entire kitchen was lit up bright white, and there is about a 15 foot streak down the tree where bark is missing now. Tripped the breaker on my pool equipment. Dog is still freaked out. My wife had just come in from the back yard because the rain just started and within 60 seconds it hit. Scary stuff.Rockdoc said:

You can see an outage map at outages.cstx.gov. Also - I believe you should get a text message from CSU with power outage updates. Both BTU and CSU use a system called TextPower to provide updates.
Nevermind. Dome mostly held it seems. Quickly turned to light riain
