While I would have enjoyed the rain, I am grateful as it has lessened in Friendswood too. It was supposed to be thunderstorms daily this week and now just 2 days. Our church just sent a bunch of highschool kiddos down there for mission and all of the work is outdoors (daughter is one of them)FlyRod said:

About an hour ago when the first wave came through we had a tree in our back yard, about 50 yards from the back porch, take a direct hit. Brutally loud, the entire kitchen was lit up bright white, and there is about a 15 foot streak down the tree where bark is missing now. Tripped the breaker on my pool equipment. Dog is still freaked out. My wife had just come in from the back yard because the rain just started and within 60 seconds it hit. Scary stuff.Rockdoc said:
