It'll piss off the people on the coast and I don't want anything bad coming through but we sure could use some tropical systems to move through. Alberto was a let down

Lakes down south are in bad need of water. As long as the storm surge is ok, they'll be fine.

I don't think a storm surge would help lakes more than a mile inland. They just had a big storm surge in Surfside within the past week.

Right. The rain will help the lakes. The storm surge will hurt the coastal areas. Thus...as long as the surge isn't too bad, the rain will outweigh the wind.

Same. At home in Plano what I saw early this AM (645AM) it just changed the pavement color but that was about all.

Here in Dallas its not heavy by any means but decent little spitting action for a while now.

Hoping to get maybe 1/10 of an inch or so in Plano but not sure likely. Was really hoping for 1/4.

Even in worst case its at least a day of not scorching my grass....

Just saw this and went to my cameras and definitely a decent little soaking at the house....not sure how much but much better than earlier this AM...

Great rain here in Plano. Just sitting around watching / listening as the wife and kids still sleep. After this past week at work and what I know is coming, I am really enjoying these few minutes.

Nice soaking 1/2 inch so far in north Dallas. And it is 2 pm and only 77 degrees!

Pretty awesome for end of July in Dallas! Whole week has been pretty great.
