The pic I posted was offline not my actual faucets but doing a similar thing. All of my faucets are about 12 inches off the ground so not much room for a bucket.Quote:
For real? You just let it drip with a bucket or anything under?
No. This is the 3rd year I've used mine. I'm not sure of the life expectancy. I keep them in the freezer while not using them.Quote:

Sounds like it's getting baked in the sun so it's being tricked into it being warmer than it is.PlanoAg98 said:
It looks like my freeze guard finally turned off my pool pump this afternoon. I'm hoping it's that and not the pump went out.
What's the thought on keeping them in the freezer?PlanoAg98 said:No. This is the 3rd year I've used mine. I'm not sure of the life expectancy. I keep them in the freezer while not using them.Quote:

I don't trust that, even with a new pump. I just made a setting for this type of weather that I turn on and turn off myself. Says 26 degrees at my house. Would not want it to turn off.

So who do we think did the best job predicting this latest round? I mainly just followed TSC.
Unfreeze a tankless Hot Water Heater. Close the gas valve. Open the hot water faucet that is closest to the water heater. Use a hair dryer or a portable electric heater to heat up both the primary and secondary heat exchangersAgsWin2011 said:
Just got back from New Orleans. Wife says we haven't had hot water since yesterday morning. She put the space heater next to the tankless water heater which is mounted on an exterior wall. It's currently 57 in the garage. I went up in the attic and found a couple places where the hot water lines were missing insulation. Before covering the lines, I carefully set up a small space heater in the attic. Hopefully this works but I'll be battling colder temps tonight and I don't necessarily want to leave a space heater running in the attic while sleeping. I'm checking it every 20 minutes just to be safe.
After being in New Orleans and being on a plane, all I want to do is take a hot shower.

Above freezing. Thank heavens. Pool is off and will remain off until Monday. Just going to run the pool robot (battery powered) tomorrow to clean the floor off and circulate a little water. Tired of hearing and seeing it run.
Next to do this morning is wash the car.
