I disagree; making that call 12 hours in advance does seem absurd. But it's typical American Airlines procedure. I would have preferred a delay, even an all day delay. Over a flat out cancellation and an offer to get a flight on Monday evening. It's fine, I'm driving straight to my next destination instead of getting to spend a night at home. Hopefully my flight home on Thursday won't have any problems.

Significant event on Tues/Wed?

It is such a wide area in the slight risk area - thinking this one is grabbing some hype because it is early spring. The tornado / large hail threat looks to be right at early storm development which should be more west / southwest of the metro.

Edit: Storm Prediction Center just updated their map to show the enhanced area I was referencing. For reference, the edge of the higher risk corridor includes the following counties: Parker, Hood, Wise (mostly), & Johnson (slightly)
