I think this as well, there has been plenty of on-air banter over the years to suggest that Cumulus has the Ticket hosts' nuts in a vice on petty stuff like this.

Corby is definitely a petty child, but the guys at The Ticket can't really acknowledge any competition publicly, Jake said as much during a recent TDZ episode. Said they still text and talk with guys at both stations regularly but iHeart lets their guys talk to Dan and Jake while we know Cumulus' thoughts on them.

i think i disagree with junior on damn near every topic imaginable; this one included.
the take that a&m shouldn't want/expect a national championship (because they haven't won one in 86 years) is effing stupid.
any power 5 school with the requisite resources (so basically not the vanderbilt types) should have the expectation. and resources-wise, a&m is pretty much at the top.
Junior's take is so dumb/lazy especially with the playoff expanding to 12 teams. It no longer is bout being #1 or #2 or 3/4.Hincemm said:

I guess I missed the part where Junior said A&M should manage expectations.
Well it wasn't all bad. He tried to go there a few times but was mostly fair in his assessment. We have underachieved, and thats a fact. He's no fan of us but who cares..WC87 said:
Behind on the app but assume Mclearin is gonna be a lower your expectations never won anything argument quit trying guy.
He 100% said that. He asked why a high-profile coach would want to go to a&m because the fan base/donors had unrealistic expectations (of a natty).double aught said:

Or just simply…why would anyone play a game with zero expectations of winning?
Junior is a eunuch who never played any sport at a competitive level in his entire life and it shows.

Why are you being so vague? I used to do triathlons. I don't consider that "competitive cycling".
What races did junior participate in?
