the take that a&m shouldn't want/expect a national championship (because they haven't won one in 86 years) is effing stupid.
any power 5 school with the requisite resources (so basically not the vanderbilt types) should have the expectation. and resources-wise, a&m is pretty much at the top.

What is particularly dumb is that 6 weeks ago you could use the same logic to say the Rangers should never even aspire to a title, much less actually win one.

I mean, you could use TCU to refute that from just last year (last won in 1938) or Oregon (never won) from 2013 potentially this year.
