The Musers discussion went exactly how I thought it would go. It's not really a true buyout other than the 20% and then annual payments for the remainder over the life of the contract.

And, again...he says it's insane that we pay that money, given that we haven't won since 1939. What sense does that make??? Isn't that exactly why we have to spend the money? We're trying to change things for our program. Such a dumb, oft-repeated opinion. Sounds like the opinion of someone who didnt compete in sports growing up. Interesting that he celebrates the Rangers, but doesnt fault them for doing what they needed to do to break through.

Kliff had an incredible offense at Tech too. I could see a route for him similar to Sark. Not saying he's on my list but I can see a world where he figures out how to do his thing on offense and put the right pieces together around him somewhere down the line. He was never going to have the pieces at Tech for a good D.
Kliff has handsome looks and a trumped up pedigree thanks to the media. His head coaching record is terrible even with Mahomes.
He's also the the same guy who thought he should stake his NFL career to Kyler Murray.
He looks and talks the part but he doesn't coach the part…which is the most important in actual coaching.

Not defending Craig, because he's pretty dumb. But the context was Jimbo first donates a huge chunk of his payout to charity. Thus pointing out how out of control things have gotten. It's still dumb, but you left out a pretty important piece of his comment.

Yesterday's episode they briefly covered the betting lines for new coach and they said Elko would be a damn good hire and were intrigued by Traylor. Jake also likes GJ Kinne (TX St HC) and I think would be excited to see him get a shot. They were baffled by some of the names on the odds list.

said with how fast the coaching turnover is these days it's hard to say there are many "knowns" out there to go hire and we already tried that with Jimbo
