I mean, that's Gordo at this point unless they have a guest on, he's doing one of his segments or the 8:40 bit. His best is on his segments/8:40 or joining the invasion at this point. His twitch stream is 10x more engagement than the show… he's 100% mailed it in on the show outside of 2-3 segments. If I could collect a 300k paycheck (guess, might be higher at this point) for what he does, I'd feel like the luckiest man in the world.
He is hilarious at times but irks me endlessly. And from stories I've heard of his interactions with people not on the clock, I'm starting to believe them.

interesting...met him at a GNO in Mansfield (near his apartment, I guess), and he was very engaging to me. I didn't beat him down about bits (I don't think...) but he immediately put his phone down, starting asking about what I do, etc.
I think to say he has mailed it in is a stretch. He's still the best on air personality on the station (and maybe the best non-syndicated radio guy in the nation). He only does the 2-3 segments because I think it's literally his job.

I'm a huge golf nut, but I assume all 12 people listening to the tee box are just there to hear e-breaks in real time.
I didn't mind it when it was just Craig and Rick. But I cannot listen to Eli Jordan do "here's my effort at a deep radio voice" and the hot bag of absolute nothing he brings to whatever weekend show he's on.

Didn't heard the rant, but someone having to listen for only 3 minutes for a station to get credit for a full quarter hour seems a bit crazy. Even the old 5 minute benchmark seems pretty low.

I'd pull a norm and keep working until they say no more.
I think Cat didn't have the budget to give them a raise so he reduced their hours and gave them more breaks.
I bet Junes having a kiddo extended his career a bit. He always talked about how he couldn't wait to retire but if work can keep him away from the beating of parenting a few hours a day and a few weeks of the year with training camp and SB, why not.

Other shows probably don't want him either. He doesn't add the humor that jub or Gordon bring to the other shows.
