We go to Los Tios Meyerland almost weekly. I think the food has gotten better over the last year for some reason. I think it's quite good!

How does the Sugar Land location food these days compare to the food at other locations?

I go to the SL and West U locations fairly regularly and to me, there isn't a difference in food quality.

The SL location is always packed. That place has been there since the early '80s and is still going strong. They just added outdoor seating.

Thanks, I go to the SL location a lot and thought the food had gotten much better lately - we used to only get margs and chips and salsa when the food wasn't as good. Didn't know how it stacked up to other locations.

The Meyerland location is great, but the parking sucks.

Love Los tios for many reasons but food quality isn't why. It's priced right for what it is imho. Plenty of higher quality local chains.

They did a good job with Tanglewood location for sure. We walk there from our office and is a CRE Friday margarita lunch hot spot.

The neighborhood location on kirkwood at memorial is much less quality food but is the neighborhood favorite so we go a lot with other families and is fine.

Took my daughter there yesterday during a dad/daughter date and service was just terrible. Like atrocious.

Over all a great OG houston brand. Good cheap drinks, good for kids, with ok food. There are some good things on the menu but fajitas and typical staples are sub par.

Agree with everything. The food at the Kirkwood location is average at best but the price and neighborhood vibes get us there.

If I want higher quality, spend more but keep the neighborhood vibes, I'll go to Ninfa's on memorial

I don't know what it's like now but this was high end dining for us in the 80's. It was the standard by which I've judged every Mexican place since and I've not found anything that stacks up to what I recall as a kid. Sad to hear it's not that great now. The cheese enchiladas were the bomb and I've never had a single place make them as good….and I live in San Antonio. Nothing is close to those. Man I miss it.

Is the chili gravy still the same? Surely not? But if so, I'm going to go there next time I'm Roofing in Houston.

My wife's father lives in SA and he swears that Los Tios is the best Mexican he ever eats. Makes a point of getting the enchiladas every time he is in town. So, I guess the gravy is still the same? Not sure, but he loves it.

I hear they're putting one on the Riverwalk later this year.

Brother told me Los Tios opened recently in Fredericksburg. They seem to be expanding. I work near the one in Sugar Land and hit it up for lunch once a week.
