I get the strange feeling SA is releasing all of these to try and combat all of the new local brews coming out.
nothing wrong with this. I've said in the past, and defended myself, that SA is for the most part stuck in their ways, one or two great brews, the rest just good, they weren't creative, inventive, etc... And that in a city like portland, denver or SF, they would not stand out at all. But, here in Houston they didn't need to be because they had 6 million potential drinkers with no competition.
All of a sudden, this is changing. IMO, it can only change for the good. They are trying new things, releasing new things, changing the line up, etc.. Good for them. They still don't have to, as competition is fairly new, small, and not in large numbers, but it's nice to see they're ahead of the game.
Surely Brock doesn't want to take the chance that in 5 years, there are 10 breweries in town, and he's still hanging on to lawnmower and a yearly DR release.
