-BUILT IN THE USA with Swiss movement and imported parts
Wouldn't "Assembled in the USA with Swiss movement and imported parts" be a more accurate description?
I can see both sides of this and understand why the language is debatable.
We've been working on bringing manufacturing to the US for 2 years. I can count on one hand that number of manufacturers are even capable of building or assembling a swiss-like piece in a way that meets our quality standards. We found one that we like and are using them. We are actually working on trying to build a quality movement as well stateside. The leather roll is made right here in Texas. Packaging is made here. We do all repairs and adjustments using a Dallas shop. We try to support the US economy every way that we can. The sad state of watch building is that much of the watch just isn't made here yet. I think Paul is proud of that and is using language that tries to convey that as well.
BTW - I took the conversation to the PM's as requested. I know that many of you witnessed the social media fiasco over the summer. If it bothers you and you want some context, I'm happy to provide. Paul is a Marine who saw combat, loves America and loves Jesus. I go to church with him and have known him for 5 years. We all make mistakes.
