What do y'all think about the Speedmaster "first Omega in space"? Slightly smaller than the moonwatch, some vintage touches. I think it looks awesome but I wish it had a display case back.

I have a ~8 year old citizen eco drive that needs repair. Is it better to just replace it with a nicer watch. Looking for something above entry level, will last and will be daily wearing to work (office environment). <$2k.

100% better to replace.

Can find some really good watches in that range.

Post photos of your eco-drive or other watches you like and we can give some recommendations.

Its going to be very difficult to get anything "above entry level" below a 2K price point, but there are still some good watches out there for that.

Im just saying its doubtful you are going to get into the Rolex, Omega, Breitling, JLC, Tudor, IWC for that price.

In your position, I would save a little longer and get a Tudor. You can get a nice Black Bay for around 2,700

I have one. Maybe barely above entry level. I forget what movement it has. Maybe a Miyota. I like it but it's more in the realm of the Seiko Prospex type stuff. If I absolutely had to stay below 2k, I'd probably get a higher end Prospex diver

Citizen Friday!

Honestly, the titanium build is so light it's uncomfortable. It's a great watch with lots of world time and other features.

It was $700 but I ended up getting it for free from Amazon. (It no showed, gave refund and then randomly showed up at our small camp in Egypt one day. )

I'll post some I like later. Just priced a repair at a shop and was $70 for capacitor but to fix the date may cost more and could be looking at more. He offered a $100 store credit for the watch and would come off 35% on most of what he had in his store. Seemed to pushing Tissot.

Any of these good?

I guess I'm almost always thinking "used" prices. He can get most Longines models used in that range.

Going off the watch he posted though, I'd probably look at Tag and he could find it new or used there.

Oris Aquis or Big Crown can be had for under $2,000. If you like the look of the Tissot, I'd look at a FC Highlife as well. The open-heart automatic can be had in your price range.

I'll probably take the guys offer for trading my watch in for $100 store credit and get one of the automatic Tissot watches in the picture. Checking eBay, that seems like a good offer for a broken Citizen eco drive.

I did notice his Tissot watches are marked up above $500 and on eBay they are much lower. Whats a reasonable used price? He offered 35% off his price which probably makes it similar to the eBay listings I saw.

Depends on which Tissot model you're looking at, but you can look at Chrono24 as well and get a handle on pricing.

Or post the model here and someone will probably look it up for you.
