All the ones in Houston were last week. I ordered some on Walmart online and they came in 3 days later.

My mom went to a couple CVS / Walgreens in the mornings and hit one that had just received a batch.

that's kinda what I figured. bf needs a test but doesn't want to contribute to statistics if possible. or pay out the nose.

The government subsidy supposedly just reduced so most have raised prices to $25-$30.

Read the fine print. We like the Abbott tests, but they come in a 2 pack because the accuracy is less, you are supposed to take both 36hrs apart. Most have a life span as well, so check the dates before purchasing if possible.

My kids caught up in the covid craziness at school. Had 2 symptoms that could be covid related so was sent home and can't come back unless she "quarantines" for 5 days or gets a negative test. Tests are impossible to get in a timely manner so doesn't make sense to even try and I dont particularly care to anyways.....EXCEPT if you present a positive test you have a get out of quarantine jail free card from here on out. If you don't present a positive test, anytime a kid gets 2 covid symptoms they have to go back to "quarantine." Seeing as basically everything is a covid symptom these days, any time a kid sees a nurse they are going to be sent to 5 day quarantine jail. At least they are starting to recognize natural immunity.

I'm looking at the CFISD 'rules' about exposure. It says if you're a vaxxed student and in a home with covid but no symptoms you're good to go, but unvaxxed with no symptoms needs to Q for 5 days?

Pretty sure if the kids are feeling fine they're off to school - is that irresponsible or just what we would do any other year mom or dad are down with the flu?

Not a chance in hell I ever keep my kid home from school if they aren't sick.

CFISD actually doesn't mandate quarantine for the unvaxxed, but asks that they "consider" staying home for 10 days:

No need but thank you. They dont accept home tests anyways. Which is kind of funny because flowflex is EUA just like the vaccine, so you'd think they would accept it.

I am fairly certain the boyfriend and I have it but can't find rapid tests anywhere. A test that takes 3 days isn't super useful.

He's got a very bad fever and body aches. I'm just a little achey and feel fever adjacent. I want to go to work, just not sure I should.
