Same, I did not install teams for a ton of reasons. I'll add another line for work before I use my primary phone.

This is pretty funny and accurate. Everyone at least be responsive on teams, answer the phone or call people back. We don't need bosses wondering where everyone is.

Hell. My bosses promoted 3 people since this crap started that I have not seen in 21 months. The same people don't respond on outlook or teams for hours or days. The whole thing is s joke.

I selected in the app option to not allow them access or to manage my phone and got assurances from IT group on privacy. Still, I'm realistic enough to know that there's no hiding of anything in today's high tech world.

I didn't have that option.

We've been in the office since day one. Never closed. The billion dollar manufacturer we're a distributor for though has strict work from home policies and restricted travel for all their employees. It's been a real sht show on their side with order entry and shipments.

Probably because they can't get materials. What they can get is sky high in cost. And if they can get material they're most likely running at 70% capacity or less do to labor shortages.

Delays are actually due to shipping. Manufacturing is overseas and we've only seen a slight delay due to raw material. It's getting stuff to us once it leaves port that's the biggest problem for the past 12 months. But honestly that's out of their control.

The whole order entry thing is what sucks with the WFH order. We issue our orders to the office here who then transmit it overseas. We've seen a huge increase in errors ever since people stopped going to the office.

boyfriend has it, 2 days of 103 fever, but feels fine now.

I have 2 days ongoing if fevers + not being able to hold food/liquid down.

haven't gotten my test back yet, but I'm just assuming because of him.

I hope it is. because work says 10 days out if it is, 14 days if it's not.

Nausea/GI symptoms are way more common with Omicron. My brothers kids all tested positive, all they had was a day or 2 of fever and a few hours of things coming out both ends. No respiratory impact at all.

And that's not to minimize how ****ty it can make you feel, just that it doesn't always present the way the earlier strands did.

I remember GI issues being talked about in the first wave.

It isn't the most common symptom, but it's definitely normal.

My old lady had 2 days of symptoms this week - pretty much back to normal here in day 4 - no one else affected

Then again, everyone's nose has been ruining for weeks it seems - but we don't test for that

I keep finding out about more and more vaxxed and boosted people coming down with covid.

95% of people I know who have covid, are vaxxed and boosted.

I ended up testing positive last week. Thankfully nothing I got is anything I would have even considered taking off work for if this wasn't going on. Mostly thought it was from the temperature fluctuations until taste and smell went bye bye. That part blows although it makes it easier to not snack. It's kind of crazy how quick your desire to snack goes away when everything tastes like air. Pretty much out of it now. Taste and smell are mostly back but some stuff is still tasteless. The goofy annoying thing is I bought my first new car for myself just shy of forty a few weeks ago and no new car smell the couple times I've gone for a drive to get out of the house.

My wife's onset of delta symptoms presented as what I swore was heat exhaustion. Including nausea. Was strange.

Kid 1 had strep last week. Might have given it to me. Dr said it was going around. She was "sick" for maybe 5 minutes. It was the weirdest thing. I was very surprised when the dr wanted to test for it. No sore throat or anything at all. Was literally running around the neighborhood on our nightly walk.

Kid #2's daycare class is closed until next Monday. Apparently "someone" who was last there on Thursday popped positive. I'm assuming one of her 2 teachers since she was not there Friday and we were notified over the weekend. Testing negative for the kids means absolutely nothing, excluded until the class reopens.

I didn't actually know we were still doing that specific BULL ***** Hadn't seen one of the classes closed since before last summer...

Kid #1 elementary does everything pretty easy. "Suggested" to quarantine for close contacts but no one is actually doing that. Only have to stay home for actually being sick or having a positive test + 5 days(no requirements to test) and still no large outbreaks there...

Another class at Kid 3's MDO is closed all week because a positive test in the class too. Id be PISSED.

Are they at least not charging for the week? We haven't had any in daycare or after school care for a while, but that stuff is too expensive to still charge.
